“Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.”
THE NEW TESTAMENT IN HIS BLOOD
A Testament (covenant) is a solemn agreement or promise between two parties for example between God and man. In this case of our example God always made agreements with the Petrarch of Israel, however these covenants failed when men failed to fulfill the terms and conditions that were set in agreement, take an example of the agreement on mount Sinai which was established through Moses and based on the Law, its terms were quite hard for any man to fulfill and yet it was already established and confirmed by the blood of animals. Because these were established on blood, it needed a spotless blood to nullify the old, failed testament and establish a New Testament in that spotless blood to help satisfy both parties. Therefore, the New Covenant established was to be characterized by grace and the forgiveness of sins through faith in the power of that spotless blood and not through dos and don’ts.
In our theme scripture it is very clear that the blood of Jesus (God Himself) was the only option and His sacrificial death on the cross the only means by which sins are atoned for, fulfilling the requirements of the Law and offering redemption for all who believe. Under this New Covenant, believers are offered forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and eternal life not based on adherence to the Law but on faith in Jesus and His finished work on the cross.
Thus, the "New Testament in His blood" is a declaration of the transformative and redemptive power of Jesus’ sacrifice, which establishes a new way for humanity to relate to God, rooted in grace, forgiveness, and love.
Today take a moment to reflect upon what was accomplished on that cross and focus on the transformative power of the blood of Christ, because, it is our new way to relate with God without any fear of whether we shall be accepted. Take the confidence or boldness to stand at the throne of Grace because His blood in this new covenant speaks better things for you before God.

Prayer.
Father, I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful gift of Jesus for in Him I now have the confidence to name myself after You. His blood now flows through my veins giving me an assurance that I am forgiven, Yours, and a per taker of the infinite wisdom, blessings, power, grace and the Love made possible by His blood which was shared for me. I believe in the power of His blood and therefore, help me to live life in this confidence forever and to be able to share this with others.
Amen.
