Larem Foundation was started due to a friendship that developed when the Founder, Odong Brian and Co-Founder Anna Domschitz meet on a Peace Evaluation project in Gulu back in 2013. The friendship that was made later resulted to the birth of Larem Foundation in 2015. Larem foundation works on the basis of friendship (larem in Luo Language means friendship). Larem foundations is based in Anaka town council, which is found in the Northern district of Uganda, a region with was for almost 20 years ravaged by the LRA war led by Joseph Kony, as a result the development of the region has been picking up a slow pace and this has left most of the region with a high population children of school going age but with limited education or no access to education, many of the children are not exposed to proper guidance and development as infants thus making them join school late and have hard time coping up with learning. We care about children and their need for an early education and proper development, and some of our projects include:
