The Power Of Your Words

Matthew 12:37 (KJV): For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

By your words, you are ensnared and by them, you are liberated. By them you receive strength and still by them you are weakened. By them, you attract the things you need and by them, you distance yourself from what you need.

Such is the power of words!

No prayer can go beyond your words.

Think about this for a moment: a man may be seeking the face of God for wealth but is constantly confessing how poor he is. Should such a man expect to receive from God when by his words he sets himself against divine provision?

How about a woman who is praying to God for the healing of her body but any opportunity she gets, she talks about how the disease is about to consume and kill her? Can she expect to receive from the Father when with her tongue she is digging her own grave?

If you are the kind who is always undergoing deliverance over the same issue, the problem is not the demon that just won't leave you alone. The problem is your words that have condemned you to that situation.

You can never deliver a man out of the fruits of his confessions until you teach him how to speak the right way.

By His Grace alone

1 Corinthians 15:10 (KJV): But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Our Christian journey is of grace alone.

Grace started the first step, it has brought us thus far and that same grace will lead us home.

You might take for granted how you came to salvation or the ministry in which you are but you should never forget that you were drawn by the loving arms of His grace.

Everything you have endured has been by that grace. You could have failed but grace showed you what was waiting on the other side of your struggles.

You could have given up on praying to the Lord but grace stirred the smoldering embers of your inner fires and revived you again.

We celebrate the grace that provides the door, enables us to knock, and even opens the same for us to enter.

We honor the grace that has communed with God through us, preached the gospel through us, served God through us, and loved and believed in men through us.

By His grace, you are what you are. It turned you into a great minister, a commendable leader, a dynamic businessman, a virtuous wife, and a responsible priest.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Our Christian journey is of grace alone. Grace started the first step, it has brought us thus far and that same grace will lead us home.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for Your rich and unending grace. I do not deserve it, but You did not look at what I have done and where I have been. You saw me in my brokenness and chose to love me anyway. I choose to receive the precious gift of this grace and walk in its abundance all the days of my life, Amen.

THE GOD OF YOUR FATHER

1 Chronicles 28:9 (KJV): And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off forever.

Submission to spiritual authority gives you the grace to walk in places your spiritual authority has walked. If there are territories that he or she has conquered, you can claim them too.

Does this principle work by simple entitlement?

Of course not. Our theme scripture casts light on how. It says you must know the GOD of your father. The scripture calls upon you to serve Him with a perfect heart and a willing mind.

It has been famously said, "No matter how tall your father is, you must do your own growing."

Imitating what a spiritual authority does without having a personal relationship with God will not take you anywhere.

It is by God that he has become who he is. It is by God that you too must become who He destined for you to become.

Don't simply admire miracles, signs, and wonders. Don't merely stand in awe of the fruit that is evident in the life of your spiritual authority. SEEK TO KNOW HIS GOD.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. Thank You for the opportunity to know You. I see You for who You are. My fellowship with You does not depend on the incense that other men in the holy of holies are burning. I too have access to You. The longer I live, the deeper into You I am launched, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Of Guarding your heart

Psalms 32:6 (AMP‬): Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You [for forgiveness] in a time when You [are near and] may be found; Surely when the great waters [of trial and distressing times] overflow they will not reach [the spirit in] him.

In this life, you will face some difficult and distressing times. The enemy may attack your body, family, career, business, or ministry.

But the Lord has given us wisdom that guarantees our victory even in such moments.

In our theme scripture, He speaks of a man in whose spirit the waters do not reach.

This means you should never allow circumstances to consume your spirit and overcome your heart because when they do, you lose the ability to fight and withstand adversity.

The Bible says that the spirit of a man can withstand any infirmity (Proverbs 18:14). But if your spirit is broken and you have allowed it to be overwhelmed by situations, you become easy prey for the enemy.

So, child of God, no matter how difficult what you are dealing with is, choose to stay strong, trusting, and praising God, with your eyes fixed on your victory.

Never let your spirit cave in because of the pressures of this world. Rejoice even when you have no tangible reason to do so. This is how we overcome the enemy.

FURTHER STUDY: Proverbs 18:14, Proverbs 15:13

PRAYER: My Father, I thank You for this word. Thank You for strengthening my spirit. My defenses are fortified against any attacks of the enemy. Fires can never consume me and waters can never drown me because I know how to guard my heart, in Jesus' name, Amen.

The power of His Spirit

Ezekiel 37:9-10 (KJV): Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

The experience of the Prophet Ezekiel in our theme scripture is among the many illustrations of the power of the Holy Spirit.

Some Christians imagine that all the Holy Spirit does is give them utterance to speak in other tongues and demonstrate the power of God through the healing of the sick and other signs and miracles. But He can do many more great things than that.

He is a creative force. In our theme scripture, the wind of the Spirit brought an army of dry bones back to life. A vivid picture of this creative action is explained in Ezekiel 37:7-8. The Bible says that bone came together, bone to his bone; the sinews and the flesh came upon them and the skin covered them.

Imagine it for a moment. Skulls, looking for their vertebrae; spines finding their respective pelvises–bone to bone. Think about the formation of muscles, tendons, and skin growing on each of these skeletons.

This same Spirit lives in the inside of you.

What is cancer to Him? What situation do you feel is impossible that He cannot restore?

He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If He created life yesterday, He still does so today. Hallelujah!

The Seed

Genesis 8:22(KJV): While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

No man in this world has admirable and distinctive fruit without a seed.

If he is enjoying success in his ministry, finances, relationships, business or career, there is a seed.

Don't get too fixated on the fruit, ask what the seed is.

People who criticise those who are greater than them do not understand this principle.

Because it was buried for a while, bearing the burden of the soil and of feet treading it underfoot, some assume it was not there in the first place.

But it was there all along, waiting to burst forth.

Most importantly however, this seed is in actual sense a price.

What you may be doing now in your journey to greatness may seem small and ignored by many. It may be buried under the soil of sacrifice and struggle but it is a seed and in time, if you are diligent and consistent, it will bear fruit.

Success is not by mistake. Learn which seeds bring forth what kind of fruit and develop the mindset and fortitude of spirit that always pays the price.
