The intervention of Briquettes-making is an innovative way of influencing a shift from firewood and charcoal to an alternative source of affordable eco-friendly cooking energy for the community.
However briquettes made using cowdung and charcoal dust are not convenient, calling for the need for use of alternative materials like carbonated wood shavings/Sawdust instead of charcoal dust, and cassava flour paste as binder instead of cowdung. Also use of machines eases work and promotes scalability.
