My name is phiona and Iam learning Hairdressing Kazi Mingi Foundation.

Iam a mother of 1 who thought it would be impossible to achieve a career at the age of 17 after dropping out of school.

Hair was always my passion, my dream, but I never thought I could make it happen. I was reassured that going through the Hairdressing program was the direction. Iam extremely happy with the skills Iam learning. I can't say enough about all of the wonderful trainers I'm learning under.
I'm not only learning fundermentals but the hands-on experience.

Iam very confident that iam going to be a better person in the future, even my kid will be well off because I can now see my future is in my hands.

My name is Naigaga Mary, I joined kazi Mingi Foundation on 16/February/2025 with no skills in Tailoring. To be honest, for the time I have spent so for Kazi Mingi Foundation, I have learned so many things in Tailoring and they are easy for me.
At first, it was complicated for me to learn how to cut different styles of clothes but my trainers has made it possible. For the six months, I have learned how to sew a shirt, dress, trousers, and shirt. I Can easily saw all these categories in different fashions. I have made so many dresss for kids and I want to sell them. Lack of training materials like clothes, I sometimes use papers to come up with protypes but the papers can easily tear.
I call upon all youth not to despise skills. If you get your skills in Tailoring, you can easily make money even if you put the sewing machine on the veranda. I'm very confident that I'm going to be a better person in the future, even my kids will be well off because I can now see my future is in the right hands.
