Mukono Technical Business Institute is an innovative Technical and Business Education Institution that utilizes a carefully designed and integrated set of educational programmes, entrepreneurship development components, cooperative concepts and support services to train our students to become a New Generation of Skilled Workers cm Entrepreneurs and Community Builders. They will be capable of starting and operating Modern, Small-scale enterprises and worker cooperatives that will generate substantial numbers of new jobs and income generating activities- beyond marginal self-employment- locally and nationally. The specific objectives of Mukono Technical Business Institute (MTBI) are to: -
1. Offer innovative teaching and learning of the highest quality to match the ever changing demands in the labour Market.
2. Graduate well-trained skilled workers who have both Technical Skills and a good understanding of (a) Market and Cooperative Economics, (b) Business functions and operations, (c) Entrepreneurship and business planning skills and, (d) Individual and cooperative ownership concepts essential to successful business creation and expansion as part of a systematic local economic development strategy.
3. Make available at the institute all of the essential facilities, training and support services needed to create and incubate Modern Small Business Enterprises for Individuals and Groups of MTBI Graduates who want to establish businesses capable of expanding beyond Self-employment and Marginal Income Generating Activities.
4. Systematically create a substantial number of new modern small business enterprises and worker cooperatives that are owned and operated by the Graduates of MTBI and People living in the nearby communities.
