ncreasingly being recognized, we resolved to form a District Civil Society Network to help achieve the following Mission, Vision and Objectives below:
MISSION:
To build and enhance networking mechanism of Civil Society Organizations in Mukono District through Advocacy, Lobbying, Capacity building and Partnership Development for effective service delivery for poverty eradication. VISION:
A united and Productive Civil Society Network in Mukono District for Sustainable Development of Marginalized Communities. OBJECTIVE
a. To provide capacity building programs for members, CSO in areas of policy, advocacy, lobbying, resource mobilization, leadership, project planning and financial management skills. Popularizing the NGO policy amongst member organizations and promote compliance there with. Provide leadership to the respective membership in operationalization of self-regulatory mechanisms designed to institutionalize professionalism, ethics, integrity, transparency and accountability. Collaborate with the Government through the sector Ministry, the NGO Board, Mukono District Local Government and other actors/partners in identifying and addressing emerging policy, regulatory and other pertinent issues with a view to enhancing the contribution of the NGO sector to human development. Coordinating the participation of the members and NGOs/CSOs in government policy processes of interest to them and documenting their experiences so as to assess NGO contributions to development. To collectively solicit resources for institutional support and organizational development. To collectively develop a monitoring and evaluation strategy for public and other development programs
