We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Varkey Foundation for this incredible opportunity and for recognizing the work happening at Suubi. 🌍❤️

Being part of the Global School Prize journey has inspired and motivated us even more to continue serving children and communities in rural Uganda.

Our Founder, Daniel Sebugwawo, traveled to London to represent Suubi as one of the Top 10 finalists of the Global School Prize.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to connect with amazing educators, changemakers, and leaders from around the world who are working tirelessly to make education accessible for every child.

We are incredibly honored and grateful to announce that we have been selected as one of the Top 10 Finalists for the Global School Prize! 🌍✨

This recognition means so much to us because it reflects the journey of the children, families, teachers, and community we serve in rural Uganda. Every day, we work to create opportunities for children to learn, grow, dream, and believe in a brighter future.

Education is more than a classroom, it is hope, empowerment, and the chance to break cycles of poverty. Seeing our work recognized on a global level encourages us to continue investing in children and building a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

We are very grateful for the successful exam results of our senior 4 students 📙🎓✏️

For the first time, students at Suubi have reached this level, as there was no secondary school before. This is a huge milestone not only for the students but also for their families. Many parents did not have the opportunity to pursue higher education themselves, which makes this achievement even more significant ✨

We are especially thankful that seven of our students will continue their education by transferring to another secondary school to complete Senior 5 and 6 over the next two years.

We celebrated this important step together, went out for a meal with the students, and talked about their dreams and future goals. It was a meaningful time where we could encourage them to keep pursuing education and believing in their potential.

Suubi’s founder Daniel is excited to be currently at the CLI Convening organized by the Issroff Family Foundation in Naivasha , Kenya 🇰🇪

Daniel is spending three powerful days learning from and connecting with inspiring young leaders from across East and Southern Africa who are shaping the future of education and livelihood opportunities.

Young Africans are not just participating in change, they are shifting systems, creating practical solutions, and leading transformation from within their own communities.
