Our Story
Community Change and Transformation Initiative Uganda (COTI) is an non-governmental organization devoted to the needs of people especially children, girls, adolescents, and women. We are a not for profit registered organization, initiative by partent to establish a school.
Butemba Primary School, in partnership with COTI Uganda, aims to improve the quality of education available to the children in this area. This community was greatly affected by the Bush war of 1981-1986 that brought the current regime in power. By the time the year ended their land was already occupied and taken by the cattle keepers who are not natives. Since then the vulnerability continued to date. The school needs your support to sustain itself.
Your donation of $3 can buy a text book; $32 feeds a child on breakfast for three month term; $100 can pay a teacher of Betemba primary monthly; the school has no source of water. The main source of water in this area is underground, then they need a borehole; $25 buys a twin desk.
