Friends and supporters of KCL, glad to let you know that we are out of election period here in Uganda. Schools' terms started yesterday on 10th February 2026. For children whose parents are able to pay for all the educational costs involved; it is such an exciting event to look forward to. Such childen are eager to go back to school and meet their friends to share lots of chit-chat here and there as they study happily. . But this is not the case with orphans, most vulnerable children and those from broken homes and alcoholic parents. ut do you that you donate 2US$ 200 and you will be able to pay tuition, buy , half dozen of books, uniform and a school bag for a such a child in Karamoja. Welcome to February 2026 from Karamoja Children’s Link! In Uganda, this is the month all schools will be re-opening.
As we begin this new month, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our partners, friends and any potential partners out there who wish to stand with the children of Karamoja. We appeal to many of you to kindly consider supporting our education initiatives in Karamoja, north-Eastern Uganda. Your support will open doors of opportunity for many vulnerable children — and together, we can do even more.
This month, we invite you to support our education initiatives by helping orphans and children from low-income families in Karamoja access school. Your contribution can provide:
• School fees for children who cannot afford to enroll
• Scholastic materials such as books, uniforms, pens, and other essentials

Internet in our country may once more be switched off for one month according to Uganda Communications Commission (UCC). Any updates about the project may be availed later when the internet is back or unless I get to a neighboring country such as Kenya to get internet. This is something I am considering.

This is a Christmas appeal to all our friends far and wide: As the Christmas season approaches—a time of joy, giving, and togetherness—we are reminded of the children in Karamoja who face each day with courage but without the comforts many of us take for granted. This year, we invite you to join us in putting smiles on their faces by sharing the gift of love and generosity.
The Karamoja Children Link Project supports vulnerable children who are in need of basic necessities. Your donation, whether big or small, can make a lasting difference. We are appealing for contributions in the form of:
-Clothing to keep them warm and dignified,
-Toys and balls to enhance and enrich the children's play time
-Children story Books to inspire learning and hope,
-Beddings provide comfort and rest,
-Monetary donations to meet specific needs for each child

For those who wish to give financially, contributions can be sent directly to the Project account. (Details of the account are in www.karamojachildrenslink.org ) You may also indicate how you would like your gift to be used—for example, to buy food, school supplies, or clothing for a child.

My experience so far with the reading clubs among the children in Nakapelimen Primary School in Moroto district is that children struggle with understanding some words or some expressions in English. A simplified dictionary would be of help; to help them discover meanings thereby growing their love for reading and acquiring more knowledge from books. Friends, as the Lord blesses you and you could be in position to support with at least 1 or 2 dictionaries, we will appreciate. We will look forward to getting support for dictionaries from any well-wishers in the new year 2025. Here in Uganda now, we are drawing close to the end of school term; soon they will be breaking off for Christmas and the long end-of-year holiday. Schools will be opening in January 2025. We look forward to support from friends and well-wishers. A dictionary within the bookshop in Moroto cost between Ushs. 35,000-45,000/-. Which is an equivalent of US$9 - US$12. We will be glad if you could spare some change from the Christmas expenses and get a child or 2 a dictionary.
