Empowerment For the Poor - Uganda Empowerment For the Poor exists to build the capacity of impoverished households of women and youth to overcome their socio-economic barriers

Empowerment For the Poor-Uganda ( EFP-Uganda) is a non partisan non profit organization that tranform lives of poor people out of poverty in our Uganda communities by strengthening their capacity to alleviate the causes and circumstances of poverty through Education, Action and Advocacy

We are legally registered by the National NGO Board, Ministry of Internal Affairs with registration No.S.5

914/11097 operating in Masaka, Kiboga, Mityana,Wakiso and Kampala districts of Uganda. Our Vision

Our Mission
To strengthen capacity of the rural poor and disadvantaged communities to come out of poverty through through education, action and advocacy. Our Focus

Clean and Sustainable Energy

We promote energy efficiency programs by increasing awareness and more utilization of renewable energy. We promote solar power for household and of recent commercial purposes, promote biomass energy cooking stoves technologies and advocate for energy efficiency and energy saving among communities. Clean Environment

We work with communities to plant trees, reduce human activities that degrade the environment, promote waste recycle, reduction and re-use, organic farming, and increase access to clean and safe drinking water. Community Action

We support communities with innovative and creative solutions to change the lives of the poor out of poverty through increasing their education ,health and economic opportunities.
