WHEREAS, we the founder members of CITIZENS CONCERNED ORGANIZATION found at Mbarara in the Republic of Uganda; Having realized the brutality, the agony of successive wars, extreme poverty, HIV and AIDS scourge, illiteracy and unemployment affecting motherland Uganda, more so the less fortunate children and orphans, as well as the youth, widows, single mothers and People with Disabilities; and conv

inced of our indispensable role and commitment in nation building; its educational, social, technical, spiritual, and economical well being, and commitment to promote sustainable healthcare, HIV and AIDS awareness in schools and communities, support the underprivileged members of society around the country, protect its environment, nature and human resources; while endeavoring to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the people especially the young generation and orphaned children, promoting their general welfare, transforming the underprivileged youths in God’s blessings and social harmony with our Country and the entire mankind; In regard to orphans and vulnerable children, many of them have been collected in various reception centers by voluntary organizations and the Ministry of Gender, Labor, and Social Development, But a number of them have not been identified yet, and are instead roaming the streets of our cities and towns in dire ardent need of help. We are fully convinced that we can contribute to save, help, and provide for the HIV and AIDS affected and infected families and persons, orphans, the destitute, widows, single mothers and the elderly. And in regard to environmental protection, organizations like NEMA, CCECOD, NSAMIZI, NFA, NORAD and others have tried to reach out in planting trees, protecting and conserving the environment but still the stakes are too high, there is need to do more to combat desertification and deforestation and we are fully convinced that our contribution to their efforts can help change Mbarara, and Uganda as a whole for the better.
