"No Big Finds Today . But a Big Step in Learning
Learning Beyond the Classroom: Students Experience Real Gemstone Hounding"

Today we went gemstone hounding along the river with our students. Although we didn’t find valuable gemstones this time, the experience itself was very important and exciting for the learners. They had the opportunity to explore real river gravels, understand how gemstone searching works in nature, and build confidence through practical field learning.

These moments are helping us build a strong foundation for mineral education in our community here at the Dreamhouse Mineral Educational School.

Special thanks to Lee Bursley, the Saltshack community, Joshua Tree, Mark Crutchley, Andrea Lynn Hannah Louise, and everyone supporting our learning journey. Your encouragement continues to inspire our students and strengthens our efforts to grow gemstone knowledge step by step.

At Dream House Uganda, our skateboarding program is more than just riding. It’s about building inclusive leadership and unity.

Every child is given a voice, a chance to lead, and an opportunity to support others. We encourage teamwork, respect, and lifting each other up, no matter the background.

Through skateboarding and other programs/activities, we are creating safe spaces where everyone belongs, grows together, and learns the power of moving as one community.

A very special day for us at Dream House Uganda 💎

Yesterday we proudly presented the long awaited gemstone package from the USA for our Gem MineralogySchool.
It was a joyful moment for our team as we unpacked the materials together and shared this milestone with our students and community.

We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to Lee Bursley, the Joshua Tree team, the Saltshack community, and the anonymous donors who made this possible.
Your support is helping us grow our skills in gemstone and mineral identification, cutting, and polishing here in Uganda.
