Many Bamasaba young people as they prepare to change from boyhood to Manhood through circumcision
Many are dressed with animal skins which they also don't know the animal that was killed
Others think it's of a goat and others think it's of a cow
The truth is it's a skin of a very beautiful and humble black and white colobus monkey which is always killed (porched)
The average number monkeys killed for the circumcision candidate to be fully dressed are two
So every even year, their numbers decrease because of the high demand of the skin since it's a year of circumcision
It's therefore our humble request that we join in protecting the lives of these beautiful, humble and friendly animals
We don't have to kill for the purpose of our traditional cultural practices
Let's have safe circumcision with out killing a life of another animal
We shall keep learning more about the colobus monkey
