What if climate solutions didn’t come from conferences but from villages? 🌍

Two years ago, we started small. Today, we are building a scalable, community-led model for climate resilience:

🌳 1,200+ trees planted (=75% survival)
👩🏽‍🌾 150+ smallholder farmers supported
👨🏽‍🌾 200+ youth engaged in green livelihoods

By integrating agroforestry into local farming systems, we are restoring degraded land, improving food security, and creating sustainable income opportunities while strengthening climate adaptation at the grassroots.

This is a low-cost, high-impact, and replicable solution aligned with global climate and development goals.

We are now ready to scale this model to reach more vulnerable communities.

We welcome partnerships with organisations, funders, and networks working on climate action, sustainable agriculture, and youth empowerment.

💼 Economic Empowerment & Livelihoods.

Green Nurturing Youth Association (GNYA) is actively implementing community-based skills training programs aimed at equipping vulnerable young people with practical, income-generating skills.
Through our ongoing engagements, we are training youth,especially young women, unemployed youth, and teenage mothers in:
Bar soap making 🧼
Liquid soap production 🧴
Bakery skills (cake making) 🎂
These hands-on trainings are designed to provide immediate pathways to earning, enabling participants to start small businesses with minimal capital and support their households.

So far, our programs have contributed to empowering 120+ young people, many of whom are already applying these skills to generate income and improve their livelihoods.

At GNYA, we believe that practical skills are a powerful tool for transforming lives, restoring dignity, and building resilient communities.
We remain committed to expanding these opportunities and reaching even more young people across our communities.

More raw waste urine is delivered,it will be kept for 2 monthz before we process into fertilizers for common use!

Bloomberg Philanthropies through the Office of the Mayor of Masaka City granted us funds to pilot our urine-based fertilizer innovation. 💧➡️🌾

This support has helped us sensitize communities, set up collection systems, and test safe, effective fertilizer production methods. With guidance from local agricultural extension officers, we’re already seeing promising results for farmers and urban gardeners in Masaka.

Together, we’re proving that waste can become wealth—cleaner communities and healthier soils! ??
