We are working toward as much sustainability as possible by raising some of our own food as well as some animals such as chickens. Through this endeavor, the children are also learning life skills that they will take into their futures as citizens of Uganda.
Hello, my name is Emmanuel Ssenyunva and my wife's name is Tushabe Diane. When I was young, a man of God named Pastor Chris Kallisa helped me and showed me the love of God. He acted as a father toward me, feeding me, educating me, and doing all the things that a father could do for a child. About 6 years ago, at the age of 27 years, God laid it on our hearts to do the same for the children of Uganda who are facing the same challenge that I was facing as a child, so we started an orphanage and school for children in the village of Buvuunya, Buikwe District, Lugazi, Uganda, East Africa. Most orphans feel alone, unwanted, and unloved, so we are attempting to show them that they are a part of family, that they are wanted, and that they are loved by us and by their Heavenly Father. There are many children in Uganda who have lost their parents as a result of violence, disease, and accidents. Our orphanage is currently providing a home, food, and schooling for 224 children between the ages of 2 years and 15 years old. It is a daily challenge to provide for this number of children, but our God has continually provided through the faithful donations of His people. If God has laid it on your heart to help us in this endeavor, please send your donations by clicking the Donations button on this page, which will take you to our website.
