Listen First International -  Uganda We believe in causing development and strengthening relationships through listening irrespective of the differences in religion, culture, ideology, etc.

We focus on peace building, community development and health. Listen First is a non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating greater understanding, respect and cooperation by encouraging the timeless but abandoned practice of listening to each other, regardless of politics, religion, race, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, education or any other distinction. We believe in the power of

listening to transform our discourse and change the world. It works in the areas of: Policy formulation, Public administration, economy, environmental sustenance and management, peace promotion and eradication of extremism in the world.

Our Story

Listen First International – Uganda (LiFI-U) is a non-profit organization seeking to facilitate the timeless but often abandoned practice of listening to each other, regardless of politics, religion, race, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, education or any other distinction. We believe in the power of listening to increase understanding, respect and cooperation, allowing for the establishment of vibrant, prosperous, and safe communities.

Listen First International – Uganda works with local partners, communities, governments and international agencies to address challenges facing the world today. We focus our contributions in three key areas:


  • Peace building and violence reduction, including domestic violence, communal violence, gender based violence, and violent extremism;
