Lango Child and Community Development Federation (LACCODEF) is a legally established NGO working in Northern Uganda, Lango Sub-region. LACCODEF works in the districts of Lira, Dokolo, Kole and Kwania. LACCODEF has been in existence since 2008 where 8 CBOs federa
ted to form LACCODEF. LACCODEF was formed to champion child development in Lango sub-region through addressing the root causes of child poverty and adversity. LACCODEF is supported by ChildFund International and other donors. It designs and implements programs in the thematic areas of Child Protection, Early Childhood development, Education, Health, Youth Livelihood and empowerment. The programs target the deprived, excluded and vulnerable children and their families. They are aimed at achieving positve outcomes for these marginalized categories of children. The programs are geared towards achieving 3 core outcomes of: Health and secure infants for children 0 - 5 years; Educated and confident children 6 - 14 years; skilled and involved youth 15 - 24 years. These age specific core outcomes ensure that out program initiatives support children to thrive through their different stages of life since as children grow up, their needs keep changing. Since it inception LACCODEF has served over 100,000 beneficiaries with the different programs.
