Project Title: Enhancing Infrastructure and Facilities at Arumgai community Primary School.
Arumgai community primary school located in Arumgai, Lira city.
This is a community school with numerous challenges. There are 361 pupils and 8 teachers in Arumgai community school, The classroom roof was blown away by strong wind in 2022 leaving students to study without a classroom roof. During rainy season this becomes a big challenge forcing teachers to send children back home when it's cloudy. No borehole for Clean and safe drinking water, Dilapidated latrines, No good benches for pupils, no staff accommodation, no office for teachers and broken bridge leading to the school
Therefore, we are appealing on behalf of the school to donors out there to support Arumgai community school.
*Project Title:* Enhancing Infrastructure and Facilities at Arumgai community Primary School
*Objective:
- Improve the learning environment and teacher retention
- Enhance access to basic facilities (water, sanitation, housing)
*Interventions:*
1. Borehole Rehabilitation (High Priority)
- Drill borehole: UGX 15,000,000.
- Install water tank and distribution system:
2. Classroom Construction (High Priority)*
- Renovate 5 classrooms plus roof:
3. Toilet Construction (High Priority)
- Build 2 pit latrines with handwashing facilities.
4. Office Construction (Medium Priority)
