The learning continues, the hands stay busy, and our Cohort 5 Salespreneurs are turning every lesson into an opportunity to grow, create, and build something meaningful.

At UBUCHANGE, training is more than acquiring skills it is about transforming creativity into products and potential into opportunity.

As this week unfolds, we look forward to seeing the first products created by our Cohort 5 learners, bringing their ideas and newly acquired skills to life.

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞, 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞.

Yesterday, over 80 participants gathered at the UBUCHANGE Main Center for a virtual training organized by ANANSE AFRICA and THE AMAHORO COALITION under the NASEEJ Creative Cultural Skill Program, with a focus on empowering fashion creatives.

The session explored key areas including E-commerce, Digital Marketing, and Product Development, equipping participants with practical knowledge to strengthen their creative businesses and connect their products to wider markets.

Although the training was virtual, UBUCHANGE provided a space where participants could come together and follow the session live, learn, interact, and share the experience as a community.

Beyond the learning, the day was also about connection. A morning tea break brought everyone together over a cup of tea and bread, followed by a shared meal before the end of the training.

At the close of the session, each participant received 10,000 UGX in transport support, bringing the day to a meaningful and joyful conclusion.

At UBUCHANGE, we believe that when creatives are given knowledge, space, and opportunity, creativity can become a pathway to sustainable livelihoods.

This week, our Creative Women Salespreneurs Program continues across all four training centers 𝐁𝐰𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐚, 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐬𝐰𝐞, 𝐁𝐮𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐀, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐮𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐁.

From one center to another, our Salespreneurs are learning, creating, and building practical skills that can help turn creativity into opportunities.

Each training session is another step toward empowering women and youth to develop skills, strengthen their businesses, and create sustainable livelihoods.

At UBUCHANGE, we believe that when learning reaches every community, opportunities can grow everywhere.

𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬. 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

This week, UBUCHANGE took another important step in supporting our Salespreneurs by distributing startup kits to 109 learners across all four centers: Bukere A, Sweswe, Bwiriza, and Bukere B.

Each Salespreneur received essential tools to begin putting their skills into practice: one apron, one needle, one pair of scissors, and one measuring tape.

These simple but meaningful tools represent more than equipment they are a step toward creativity, production, entrepreneurship, and income generation.

At UBUCHANGE, we believe that empowering people means giving them both the skills and the tools they need to turn their creativity into opportunity.

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐍𝐨 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐲 𝐊𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚, a proud Salespreneur from Cohort 3 of the Creative Women Salespreneurs Program.
Before joining UBUCHANGE, Mirey had no job or assistant income.

At her age, she often felt that many opportunities were designed only for young people.
Then, through her neighbours, she heard about UBUCHANGE and decided to give it a chance.

From her first days of training, Mirey realized that this was more than just learning a skill.

She started working seriously, and after selling her first banana bark basket, something changed: she began seeing entrepreneurship as a real opportunity for her future.
Today, Mirey is part of the UBUCHANGE Market production group, turning her creativity and skills into a source of livelihood.

“UBUCHANGE came to change lives in our community.”

Her message is for everyone young women, young men, mothers and fathers who are still looking for an opportunity: 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞, 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧, 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐔𝐁𝐔𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄.

After completing their training, our Cohort 5 Salespreneurs joined the ongoing renovation of our Creative Center.

Since last week, mothers and young women have been picking up their brushes and paints, working hand in hand to transform our space into a more beautiful and inspiring place.

Every brushstroke represents ownership, creativity, and hope. Together, we are not only renovating a building we are creating a space where ideas can grow, talents can shine, and communities can thrive.

Once again, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Everyplace for funding this renovation project and helping us answer the fundamental question:

𝐂𝐎𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐓 5 𝐈𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄!

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤, 𝐰𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐤𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 5 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦, taking a major step forward in our mission to create opportunities through creativity, skills, and entrepreneurship.

For this Cohort, we are expanding across four training centers: 𝐁𝐰𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐚, 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐬𝐰𝐞, 𝐁𝐮𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐁, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐮𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐀, with an ambitious goal of training 350 women and young people.

Today, we take you to 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐬𝐰𝐞 and 𝐁𝐰𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐚, where our new Salespreneurs have begun their journey of learning, creating, and building the skills they need to turn creativity into sustainable livelihoods.

From one center to another, the same vision continues: empowering displaced communities through creativity, entrepreneurship, and opportunity.

This is more than training.
It is the beginning of new possibilities.
