𝐎𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐰𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝 50 𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐁𝐔𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter filled with learning, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

Each participant arrived with their own dreams, talents, and ambitions. Some are looking for new opportunities to support their families, while others are eager to transform their creativity into successful businesses. What unites them all is the courage to take the first step toward a brighter future.

Over the coming weeks, these learners will be equipped with practical skills in entrepreneurship, sales, and creative production. They will learn how to turn ideas into products, products into businesses, and businesses into sustainable sources of income.

We are excited to see the innovative products, inspiring stories, and entrepreneurial journeys that will emerge from this cohort. We believe that with the right skills, mentorship, and determination, these learners have the potential to create meaningful change in their lives and communities.

This is more than a training program it is the beginning of new opportunities, new businesses, and new success stories.

The journey has started, and we cannot wait to see what these 50 future salespreneurs will create.

From Learning to Leadership: Christine’s Journey of Transformation
At UBUCHANGE, we believe that when women are equipped with skills, mentorship, and opportunities, they can transform their lives and become leaders in their communities.
MUGISHA BISHAGARI CHRISTINE is one of our dedicated Salespreneurs who successfully completed training in the Crochet Department. Through practical skills training, mentorship, and entrepreneurship development, she gained the knowledge and confidence needed to turn her creativity into a sustainable source of income.
Today, Christine designs and produces beautiful handmade wallets and handbags, which she sells to support her family and meet their daily needs. What started as a learning opportunity has grown into a thriving livelihood.
Her growth did not stop there. Because of her commitment, leadership, and dedication, Christine is now serving as the Chairperson of the Producers Enterprise, where she leads and supports fellow producers, helping them work together, grow their businesses, and create more opportunities within their community.
Christine’s journey is a powerful example of how skills development can lead not only to economic empowerment but also to leadership and community impact. From trainee to entrepreneur, and now a leader, she continues to inspire other women to believe in their potential and pursue their dreams.

𝐀 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 3 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬
Today marks a special milestone at UBUCHANGE as we officially welcomed the first day of work for six of our Salespreneurs from Cohort 3.
After successfully completing their training, mentorship program, and capacity-building sessions, these six dedicated individuals have been selected to serve as Trainers and Assistant Trainers. Their commitment, hard work, and growth throughout the program have prepared them to take on this important responsibility.
What makes this moment even more meaningful is that they are not only beneficiaries of the program—they are now becoming leaders and mentors for the next generation of learners. Through their experience and knowledge, they will help others develop valuable skills, build confidence, and create new opportunities for themselves and their communities.
Today was their very first day in this new role, and we are proud to see how far they have come. We believe they will inspire, guide, and empower our new learners with passion and dedication.
At UBUCHANGE, we believe that true impact happens when learners become leaders.

𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐁𝐔𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄,
𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐒, a single refugee mother living in Uganda, faced many challenges in providing for her two sons.

Without a stable source of income, feeding her family and meeting their daily needs was a constant struggle.

Everything started to change when she joined the Creative Women Salespreneurs Program at UBUCHANGE. Through the training, Emily learned sales, entrepreneurship, and crochet handcraft skills.

Today, Emily is able to design and produce beautiful handmade crochet bags. She now sells her products with confidence and earns an income to support her children and build a better future for her family.

Her journey is a powerful reminder that when women are empowered with skills and opportunities, they can transform their lives and their communities.

𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞.

These beautiful handbags are carefully handmade by refugee women from the Democratic Republic of Congo living in Uganda. After the support from WFP was reduced, many of these women especially single mothers faced difficult times trying to provide food and basic needs for their families.

But they refused to give up.
Through the training programs at UBUCHANGE, they learned handcraft skills, sales, and entrepreneurship.

Today, these women are no longer waiting for opportunities they are creating them. They are now able to produce high-quality handmade bags, sell them, and build a sustainable source of income for themselves and their children.

For 3 days, refugee leaders from different settlements across Uganda came together to learn more about refugee rights, leadership, and self reliance.

We are proud that the CEO, joined this important training and connected with other refugee-led organizations working to create change in their communities.

At , we believe that when refugees know their rights and have access to skills and opportunities, they can build sustainable livelihoods and support their communities with dignity.
