UPCOMING PROGRAM | PRIMARY SEVEN MENTORSHIP INITIATIVE

Following the successful secondary school visitation program, the Academic Pathways Initiative (API) is pleased to announce its upcoming Primary Seven Mentorship Program scheduled for this holiday.

This initiative is designed to support Primary Seven candidates as they prepare for their final examinations and transition into secondary education. The program will focus on:

• Academic preparation and exam strategies
• Career awareness at an early stage
• Discipline, mindset, and goal setting
• Motivation and confidence building

Through this program, API aims to instill a strong foundation in young learners, equipping them with the knowledge, mindset, and guidance needed to excel in their academic journey.

As highlighted in the Chairperson’s recent remarks, the need for structured and continuous mentorship remains high—and this program is a step forward in addressing that need at an earlier stage.

We call upon schools, stakeholders, and community members to support this initiative as we continue to empower the next generation.

More details on dates and schools will be communicated soon.

IMPACT THAT GOES BEYOND THE CLASS ROOMS.

On April 10th, the Academic Pathways Initiative (API) team conducted a successful visitation to Nyarilo Secondary School and Koboko Town College, engaging students under the support of the initiative through mentorship, guidance, and meaningful interaction.

The delegation was led by:
Stephen Ghai Lual – Chairperson
Angeer Suzan – Treasurer
John Loong – Coordinator
Ayen Monica – Public Relations Officer

Through mentorship sessions, career guidance, and experience sharing, the team connected with students who showed strong eagerness to learn and grow. The engagement not only strengthened partnerships with the schools but also expanded awareness of academic opportunities and future pathways.

The visit highlighted a clear need for more structured mentorship, consistent follow-up, and increased support resources—areas that API is committed to improving as the initiative continues to grow.

We extend our appreciation to the school administrations, students, and the entire API team for making the visit impactful and purposeful.

At API, we remain focused on one mission—creating access, nurturing potential, and shaping future leaders.

The journey continues.

He ran from war in South Sudan… 💔

No books.
No school.
No clear future.

At just 15, he crossed into Uganda with nothing but hope.

Life in the refugee settlement wasn’t easy.
Imagine trying to study when survival is the first priority… when everything around you says “give up.”

But he didn’t.

He stayed disciplined.
He stayed focused.
He kept believing that education could change his story.

And guess what?

He didn’t just pass…
He emerged among the **top UACE performers** in Uganda. 🎓🔥

Let that sink in.

From running for his life…
To running toward his dreams.

This is your reminder:
Your situation is not your final destination.

Start where you are. Use what you have. Keep going.
