A core aspect of strong governance of an organization is a functional Board of Directors. However, many young organizations struggle with distinguishing between governance and management functions, which quite often cause conflict and inefficiencies hindering growth. To this effect, Creations Forum Afrika played a crucial role by providing the essential tools and knowledge needed to establish clear governance frameworks in the recent induction workshop for the Young Agro-Green Africa Network (YAGANET) Board of Directors facilitated by CAF's Programs Manager. He highlighted the Board's oversight role in ensuring compliance with organizational policies and alignment with the management team. "Governance is fundamentally about leadership, direction, and guidance, rather than merely managing day-to-day administrative tasks and prioritizes values, vision and strategic leadership, distinguishing it from undue influence or interference in the routine operations of an organization." PM emphasized.

Happy New Year, 2025. It is a blessing to be alive.
Bishop David Micheal Kyazze has called for peace and calm ahead of the 2026 general elections in Uganda.
"Peace and stability are essential for the country's social economic transformation." Bishop Kyazze said.
He emphasized the need for peace, prayer and humility in the new year, 2025.
We wish you a peaceful and fulfilling new year, 2025. Let us all be advocates and agents of peace in our communities.

Fr Ednus Mumbere preaching to Christians at the Kasese Cathedral Diocese today said, "Jesus Christ has brought Joy, peace, healing and consolation in the world. The Joy of Christ is shown in reconciliation with one another."
"We encourage each one of us to pray for our country to overcome the social, political, economic and environmental contradictions that continue to hamper our progress towards attaining a prosperous, united, peaceful and democratic society. We are aware of the rising suspicion and hatred among political actors, interference with lawful activities of some political groups, unemployment among youth and growing poverty in many households in Uganda. Christmas is the perfect occasion to commit these situations to God." Bishop Anthony Zziwa at the Uganda Episcopal Conference said.
Let us all be agents of Peace in our families and communities.

DAY 2;
Training for peace monitors is still ongoing in Bwiranda hotel in Kasese district. Creations Forum Afrika is equipping peace monitors with skills to promote peace in the Rwenzori region. The training started with recaps from yesterday's session where everyone participated.

Delegates during the Kasunga XI leader's retreat on 21st and 22nd of November, 2024 highlighted the link between food security, hunger, malnutrition and vulnerability to political manipulation, with malnutrition contributing to mental health challenges. The delegates said that the food insecurity and malnutrition challenge can be eradicated by promoting household food production and consumption of indigenous seeds and conducting mindset change campaigns targeting food security at community level.

In the thanksgiving ceremony held at Kaguta grounds in Kasese district on 7th November, 2024, Gen. Mbadi Wilson, the minister of state for trade and Hon. Godfrey Kabyanga, the minister of state for national guidance expressed their gratitude towards President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for having appointed them as ministers.
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni emphasized the following four key points to the people of kasese:
1. Peace is essential for Uganda's development.
2. Development means little if individuals remain hungry and poor; wealth should be actively pursued within homes.
3. Utilize your land effectively to maximize your income. Learn to make the most of the small land you have.
4. Protecting natural resources, particularly parks and forests is crucial for tourism and environment balance; encroachment can lead to negative impacts like landslides.
Gen. Wilson Mbadi said, "We will support your efforts to make you prosperous so that there is total social economic transformation in the district."
Hon Godfrey Kabyanga said, "We are going to overturn all these problems come 2026 which have been existing in the district."
"We are not sleeping as your ministers and we shall not." Hon Kabyanga said.
