The rising cases of maternal and perinatal deaths in Kasese are deeply heartbreaking and demand urgent attention. No mother should lose her life while giving life, and no newborn should die from preventable causes.
At Rwenzori Health Project, we are committed to strengthening maternal health services, improving access to emergency care, and supporting our health facilities to respond effectively to such challenges.
We call upon all well-wishers, partners, and friends to join us in this vital mission. Together, we can bridge the gaps, save lives, and restore hope to families across our community.
Every contribution, every voice, and every effort counts. Let’s stand together for safer motherhood.
Speaking about the findings, Dr Nzeeke, who is also in charge at Nyabirongo Health Centre IV in Kisinga Town Council, attributed many of the deaths to inadequate blood banks for transfusions and complications arising from hypertension among expectant mothers.
