WE ALSO WISH YOU A BLESSED FEAST OF ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER

In the spirit of St. Joseph, patron of workers, we celebrate the industrious hands of the children at Mary Queen of Peace School. After a hands-on class, they crafted beautiful dolls from banana fibers and clay, learning the dignity and value of work.

St. Joseph, pray for these young minds. May they find guidance in your example as a devoted worker and counsellor.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY AND SUPPORT

Dear Friends.
As we come towards the end of this month, we the family of Wind of Hope Initiative Uganda would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your untiring support of our mission to bring hope and assistance to orphans and vulnerable children and families. Your kindness and contributions make a significant difference in their lives.

Thanks to your generosity, we can continue our work, expand our reach, and offer more comprehensive aid to those under our care. Every act of giving, no matter the size, contributes to a brighter future for these children and the poor communities. Apart from the school for the orphans which is helping more than 400 children, we are constructing a Health Clinic (Centre of Mercy Medical Clinic), to help most especially the pregnant mothers and their babies while giving birth. Your continued support will see this project to completion.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. Your support is greatly appreciated.

With heartfelt thanks,
Fr. Bomukama Denis

GOD'S MERCY: A Healing and Saving Grace.

In the vast expanse of Christian theology, the concept of God’s mercy stands out as both profound and transformative. It is not merely an attribute of God, but an active force that heals, restores, and saves. Mercy, as demonstrated through God’s interactions with humanity, offers forgiveness and compassion, even when it is least deserved.

The healing power of God’s mercy is evident in the way it mends broken spirits and restores hope. For those suffering, God’s merciful presence provides comfort and solace, assuring them that they are not alone in their trials. This divine compassion is reflected in the Parable of the Prodigal Son, where forgiveness and unconditional love are bestowed upon the wayward son upon his return.

Similarly, God’s mercy saves. It offers redemption and a pathway back to righteousness for those who have strayed. This saving grace is vividly illustrated by the story of Jesus and the woman caught in adultery. Instead of condemning her, Jesus offers her mercy, saving her life and setting her on a new path of life without sin.

The active extension of God’s mercy is crucial in Christian practice. It calls for believers to embody this divine compassion and act as vessels of mercy in the world. The practical application of this is beautifully demonstrated by the faithful who support initiatives like the Wind of Hope Initiative in Uganda. Here, God’s mercy is tangibly extended to the orphans and vulnerable, offering them not just physical aid but spiritual upliftment.

We conclude by expressing our deepest gratitude to all the People of God who actively extend God's mercy through their support of the Wind of Hope Initiative - www.wohinitiativeug.org.
Your efforts are a testament to the living, healing, and saving power of Divine Mercy. May God bless you abundantly for your compassion and commitment to those in need.

To all who serve and give, thank you for being the hands and heart of God’s mercy.

SHARING IS CARING
This little boy sharing a portion of his mango with another child is a lesson to humanity that, 'Nobody is so poor that he/she has nothing to give, and nobody is so rich that he has nothing to receive'. God Bless all the kind hearts!

EMBRACING HUMILITY AND HOPE!
I wish you a Blessed Palm Sunday!

As we step into Holy Week with the observance of Palm Sunday on March 24, 2024, we are invited to reflect deeply on the profound messages embedded in today’s readings.

From Isaiah 50:4-7, we draw strength from the Servant of the Lord, who, despite facing adversity, stands firm in faith and trust in God. This steadfast trust amidst suffering is a example of hope for all who face trials.

The Psalmist’s lament in Psalm 22, though beginning with despair, ultimately leads us to a place of trust in God’s unfailing love. This journey from anguish to assurance mirrors our own spiritual journeys, especially during times of difficulty.

In Philippians 2:6-11, we are called to embrace humility, following in the footsteps of Christ, who, though divine, took on human form and endured the cross for our salvation. This self-emptying love is the epitome of service and sacrifice.

Mark’s Passion narrative (Mark 14:1-15:47) invites us into the heart of Jesus’ journey towards the cross. We witness the contrasts of human betrayal and divine love, of suffering and salvation. It's a stark reminder of the cost of our freedom and the depth of Jesus' love for us.
As we wave our palm branches, let us not forget the path they symbolize - a path of humility, sacrifice, and ultimate victory over death. This Palm Sunday, let us prepare our hearts to walk with Jesus through His Passion, reflecting on the depth of His love and the hope of resurrection.
Jesus, I trust in you!
