Kamuli Community Brass Band is a charity organizations found by the our band director (Tibagalika Geofrey) with the aim of help the lessprivileged children(orphans)through music in kamuli and the neighborhood,it's legally registered with offices in kamuli distri

ct. We run a very successful music project for poor, vulnerable, street children and youth in the kamuli district rural areas in Uganda. Our efforts ha bve saved many child from a life lost to the streets, abuse, drugs and extreme poverty . The project is called Music for Social and economic empowerment. The project activities are brass band called kamuli community brass band, jazz band and orphanage.providing (education, medication, shelter and feeding to the lessprivileged children). Our method is using music as a tool to rehabilitate and reform children and youth
Education is the key to fighting poverty in Africa. We are doing well in music and really kamuli community brass band which is helping the disadvantaged youth and children. We have 155 people (children and youth) enrolled in the band ranging from the age of 6 years .These young people come from many varied backgrounds and localities mainly in kamuli and the sorrounding districts,drawn together by their love and music (brass and jazz band) and their commitment to excellence in their musical skills(talent/ performance). These people (children) travel/walk many kilometers every day to attend the band daily rehearsal/practices .where they receive free special training in all tactics brass and jazz band techniques and style. Every quarter we organise a two weeks band training workshop for intensive training which helps in the development of these young musicians. The band only has 30 instruments being shared by the 155 players and most the instruments are in poor state .slides can't move and can't tune.the valves are stuck and some are missing. The most challenging part is that the band is self funding and these funds are from the gigs where are hired to play at different functions, support from friends and well-wishers and also the big part from our director from his personal savings.we always reach out to friends both in person and on social media especially Facebook to seek for support in both financial and instrument donations. The band is kindly still searching for donations of instruments and uniforms that are nolonger being used so we can give them new life as we give chance to the children in the community to learn music. Our Problem:

Every day, our talented young musicians gather to practice, but we are at the mercy of the weather. Whether it's the scorching Ugandan sun or a sudden heavy downpour, our rehearsals are often cut short. 🌧️☀️

The Reality: As you can see in the photos, we are currently using a small, temporary tarpaulin. It’s a start, but it simply can’t protect 100+ children and their delicate instruments from the elements.

Our Goal: We need to raise €1,500 to buy a quality, locally manufactured 100-seater tent and chairs. This will give our band a permanent, safe place to grow, learn discipline, and share their talent with the community.

Music fills their souls, but hunger stalls their dreams 🎺🍛

Dear friends,

At Kamuli Community Brass Band ,our children have found their voices through music—but today, their instruments are heavy and their stomachs are empty.It is heartbreaking to see a child lose their breath mid-song because of hunger.

We are facing a critical food shortage. It is devastating to watch a child choose between the strength to play and the pain of hunger. We urgently need your support to put food back on their plates so they can keep the music alive.

While your past support has given them hope, we are now in an urgent struggle to provide daily meals. We need your help to ensure no young musician goes to bed hungry.

On 10th February 2026. All schools are reopening for the first term of the education calendar year.
Our children in different levels will be reporting back to school . Its you friends that have always made it possible for these kids to have some scholastic materials and tuition to be able to be in school.ee are a grateful always.

We continue to see support for them and ofcourse prayers for the sustainability of this programme here in kamuli for the benefit of the children in the community.
