AFRICAN HEROES OF TOMORROW (AHOT)is a refugee-led, non-profit community-based organization (CBO) operating in Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Uganda.
As a non-profit/community organization, it does not have or need"share capital holders" in the corporate sense. Its operations are likely supported by partners, donations, and grants.
The organization is dedicated to equipping under-resourced and marginalized communities with practical vocational and life skills.
Life skills are crucial for refugees and the host community to rebuild lives by fostering resilience, economic independence, and social integration, helping them manage trauma, learn new languages, navigate complex systems, find jobs, build confidence, and adapt culturally while preserving identity, transforming them from vulnerable individuals into self-reliant community members. They address immediate needs (like communication) and long-term goals (like employment and well-being) for successful resettlement.
