One of our trans sisters and colleagues at Forward Minds Uganda was brutally attacked this afternoon after being lured by someone who pretended to want her services. She was seriously bitten and left traumatized.

💔 This is the daily reality for many trans s*x workers in Uganda—living in fear, facing violence, and having no safe spaces.

We are calling on our community and allies for emergency support to help her access medical care, trauma counseling, and a safe place to stay.

For LGBTQ+ individuals, s*x workers, people who use drugs, and those experiencing homelessness, healthcare has often been a space of discrimination, neglect, or outright denial.

But access to good medical services means:
• Receiving HIV testing and prevention (like PrEP & PEP) without judgment
• Having access to gender-affirming care and mental health support
• Being treated with respect and confidentiality
• Accessing s*xual and reproductive health services freely
