AHF Uganda Cares AHF Uganda Cares is a collaboration between the Uganda MOH and AIDS Healthcare Foundation. We are engaged in HIV service provision and advocacy.

Uganda Cares is a collaboration between the Uganda Ministry of Health and AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) based in Los Angeles, USA. Uganda Cares has been in operation in Uganda for 12 yearsIt provides, among other life-saving services: free anti-retroviral therapy services, treatment for opportunistic infections, laboratory diagnosis, promotion of elimination of mother to child transmission of H

IV, early infant diagnosis of HIV and TB diagnosis. The program also supports socio-economic empowerment for its clients as well as evidence-based advocacy for greater access to HIV services. In line with our global goal - “to achieve global AIDS control through quality programs, expansion and policy change”, AHF - Uganda Cares has since 2002 focused on prevention of HIV spread, treatment for eligible HIV+ friends, as well as advocacy for HIV/AIDS policy improvement in Uganda.

You can’t tell someone’s HIV status just by looking at them.
HIV does not have a “face.” Someone may look healthy, strong and happy and still be living with HIV. That’s why assumptions can be dangerous and why knowledge is power.
