A daily school meal can change everything.

For many children in South Sudan, it means the difference between staying home or going to class. It means better focus, better learning, and a better future.

With generous support from the German Development Bank (KfW) 🇩🇪, WFP and UNICEF South Sudan are reaching 111 schools with:

âś… Nutritious school meals
đźšż Clean water and sanitation services
📚 Learning materials
👩‍🏫 Teacher training..and much more.

Together, we’re helping children stay in school, learn, and thrive—building a brighter future for South Sudan. 💙✨

SDG 4: Quality Education for All

Education is a powerful gift — it opens doors, transforms lives, and builds brighter futures. Yet, millions of children around the world still lack access to quality schooling. Sustainable Development Goal 4 aims to ensure inclusive, equitable, and quality education for every child and adult, no matter their background.

Imagine a world where every child can read, learn, and dream without barriers. When we invest in education, we break the cycle of poverty and give hope to generations. But many need our help to get there.

Together, we can make education a reality for all. Because when we educate one, we empower many. Let’s stand for learning, growth, and opportunity — for every child, everywhere.

Across Africa, millions confront a distressing reality: empty plates, withering crops, and children weakened by hunger. Climate shocks, conflict, and soaring food prices have pushed over 346 million people into food insecurity, with children suffering the most—millions risk acute malnutrition and death. Mothers like Nakibuuka in Masaka watch their little ones fade away, fighting desperately to save them from starvation.

This crisis is not just numbers; it’s lives, dreams, and futures slipping away. But hope is within reach. We must act now to support smallholder farmers with sustainable, affordable tools, promote agroecology to restore the land, and ensure access to clean water and nutrition for vulnerable families.

Africa’s hunger crisis demands a united call to action:

- Invest in resilient, climate-smart farming
- Empower women farmers and local communities
- Support emergency nutrition and health services
- Advocate for policies that prioritize food sovereignty and justice

Together, we can turn the tide—because no child should go to bed hungry, and no mother should have to watch her child suffer. Join the movement. Share, support, and raise your voice for food security in Africa.

Sustainable Development Goal 1 (SDG 1), titled "No Poverty,"is one of the 17 global goals established by the United Nations in 2015. Its main aim is to eradicate extreme poverty in all its forms everywhere by 2030

Extreme poverty is defined as living on less than $2.15 a day, and SDG 1 seeks to end this condition by ensuring that everyone has access to basic needs such as food, clean water, sanitation, shelter, education, and healthcare. The goal also emphasizes the importance of social protection systems, equal rights to economic resources, and building resilience against environmental, economic, and social shocks that often deepen poverty.

SDG 1 has several key targets, including:

- Eradicating extreme poverty for all people everywhere by 2030.
- Reducing by at least half the proportion of people living in poverty according to national definitions.
- Implementing social protection systems to cover the poor and vulnerable.
- Ensuring equal rights to economic resources and access to basic services.
- Building resilience to climate-related and other disasters.
- Mobilizing resources and creating policy frameworks that support poverty eradication efforts

Despite progress, about 10% of the world’s population still live in extreme poverty, with the highest rates in low-income countries and regions affected by conflict, especially Sub-Saharan Africa

Environmental Justice: Building Partnerships for Lasting Impact

At Feed the Future, we believe that true environmental justice means ensuring every community—regardless of race, income, or background—has a voice in decisions that shape their environment and health. Environmental justice is about the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people in the creation and enforcement of environmental laws and policies, so that no group bears a disproportionate share of pollution or climate risks.

Why Environmental Justice Matters

- Marginalized and low-income communities are too often exposed to higher levels of pollution, hazardous waste, and climate impacts, while having the fewest resources to recover from environmental harm
- These injustices are not accidental. They are the result of systemic issues—, classism, and lack of representation in decision-making—that must be addressed for real change to occur
- Climate justice, a core part of environmental justice, recognizes that those who contribute least to climate change often suffer its worst effects. Solutions must ensure that the transition to a sustainable future leaves no one behind.

How Legal Partnerships Drive Change

Legal advocacy is a powerful tool for communities seeking justice. At Feed the future in partnership with Winterdale partners, we:

- Support communities in challenging polluting projects and holding polluters accountable through litigation and policy advocacy.
- Work alongside Indigenous and local groups to uphold their rights and protect ancestral lands and waters.
- Push for laws and agreements that guarantee clean air, water, and healthy environments for all.

Join Us in Advancing Justice

We know that achieving environmental justice requires collaboration. We invite organizations, donors and communities to partner with us. Together, we can build a resilient, equitable future where everyone’s rights and health are protected.

Let’s create impact—side by side. Reach out to *Feed the Future Uganda* to explore partnership opportunities and drive the movement for environmental and climate justice forward
