This , we’re honouring Plan International staff and humanitarian workers all around the world who selflessly dedicate their time to provide lifesaving support and protection to those who need it the most.💙

From Uganda, Fally Babyenda and others like him are showing up everyday for people in places where humanitarian assistance is needed most.

Children, especially girls, are often among those most affected, with conflict, displacement, climate shocks and hunger threatening their safety, education and futures. We stand in solidarity with everyone affected by crisis. ❤️‍🩹

Restoring Dignity. Strengthening Resilience. Expanding Protection.

Plan and NRC are implementing a 6-month emergency response project targeting to reach 35,800 displaced people across Kampala, Kyangwali, Kyaka II, Rwamwanja, Nakivale, and Oruchinga.

Funded by the East Africa Standby Humanitarian Fund (ESAHF), the project delivers life-saving and protection-focused assistance, including:

🏠 Emergency shelter for most vulnerable
⚖️ Protection and legal aid services
🛡️ Gender-based violence prevention and survivor support
👧 Child protection, mental health and psychosocial support
💵 Multi-purpose cash assistance to help families meet their most urgent needs because every displaced person deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.

This , we celebrate the resilience and potential of girls in crisis.

Cecili, a South Sudanese refugee living in Adjumani, is one of 1,200 girls whose lives have been transformed through the Project. With livelihood skills and opportunities, she now runs a thriving craft business, supports her family, and is building a brighter future.

When girls are empowered, they can break the cycle of poverty and become agents of change in their communities.

Together with refugees in 8 settlements across Uganda, we are helping create safe spaces where girls in crisis can recover, learn, and grow despite the challenges of displacement.

Every girl in school today is a woman leader in the making. Equal access to education brings us closer to gender equality.

With Support from Plan International USA through the Bag-pack Campaign, Plan International Uganda distributed over 200 Bag-packs with scholastic materials to girls in the West-Nile region of Uganda.

By supporting girls with scholastic materials, we are reducing the risk of early pregnancy. 🎒📚
