Day 1 of our 3- day Eye Care Outreach and surgical camp at Mbarara Eye Care Clinic has been impactful and full of hope.
Today, Charity Vision Uganda began reaching out to patients in need of eye care services through screening, treatment, and surgical interventions. Every patient attended to is a step closer to restored sight, renewed hope, and a brighter future.

Restoring Sight, Changing Lives!
In a remarkable display of partnership and compassion, CharityVision Uganda, together with Doctors on Mission International, Amigos Internacionales and Sightsavers, successfully conducted an eye care surgical camp in Moroto District, Karamoja region.
Through quality eye surgeries and specialized eye care services, many individuals received the gift of restored sight and renewed hope. This collaborative effort is helping to reduce avoidable blindness and improve lives across the region.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: Day 5 & Closing of the Moroto Surgical Camp! 👁️🇺🇬

We have officially crossed the finish line! Today marks the 5th and final day of our intensive Cataract Surgical Camp at Moroto Regional Referral Hospital.

What a week it has been. Hundreds of elders and community members from Napak and Moroto who arrived in darkness are journeying back home today walking in full, vibrant light. The atmosphere in the wards as the final eye patches came off was filled with tears, dances, and endless prayers of gratitude.

A humanitarian victory of this magnitude belongs to a united family. CharityVision Uganda extends its deepest gratitude to our phenomenal partners who labored tirelessly side-by-side with us all week:

BACK-TO-BACK MIRACLES: Day 4 Live from Moroto! 👁️🇺🇬

Please excuse our silence yesterday—our teams have been entirely consumed by the non-stop, beautiful moving pieces of restoring sight here at Moroto Regional Referral Hospital!

We are officially on Day 4 of our intensive 1-Week Cataract Surgical Camp, and the momentum has been absolutely overwhelming. Over the last 48 hours, the clinical assessments have been running flat out, and the hospital is filled with families experiencing life-changing care.

Look at the incredible smile on this grandmother's face from the Karamoja community Sitting with our team on the grass after receiving her treatment is exactly why we do this work. .

THE MOMENTUM IS GROWING: Day 2 of the Moroto Surgical Camp! 🩺🇺🇬

Wow! Thank you to our incredible community for the overwhelming love on yesterday's launch. Because of your support, our teams are energized and moving full steam ahead on Day 2 at Moroto Regional Referral Hospital!

Today, the hallways are filled with hope. Patients are undergoing final pre-operative assessments and advanced eye screenings under the slit-lamp microscopes. Our dedicated medical teams are working around the clock to prep these brave elders and community members for their life-changing cataract surgeries.

LIVE FROM MOROTO: Day 1 of the Karamoja Eye Surgical Camp! 👁️🇺🇬

The wait is over! Today, May 25th, the gates have officially opened at Moroto Regional Referral Hospital for an intensive, life-changing week of restoring sight across Karamoja.

Following our massive screening outreach in Napak, we are back on the ground to tackle avoidable blindness head-on. This camp is a beautiful testament to what happens when organizations unite for a greater cause.

In the heart of Matany, karamoja, hope was restored through sight.
