In the heart of Matany, karamoja, hope was restored through sight.
Charity Vision Uganda reached out to vulnerable communities with free eye screening and Care, touching lives of the elderly, children and families who have struggled for years with poor vision. Every patient screened is a reminder that compassion can truly change lives.

Charity vision uganda conducted a successful
Eye Care Outreach in Matany, Karamoja Region, where many patients received free eye screening and Care services. For many families, this was more than treatment - it was a chance for children to learn better, parents to work again, and communities to thrive.
We remain committed to reaching the most underserved areas with life-changing eye care and preventing avoidable blindness. Every person screened is a step toward a brighter tomorrow.

👁️ School Eye Screening Initiative:
Preventing Childhood Blindness.
Charity vision uganda is proud to lead the fight against preventable childhood blindness through impactful school outreach programs. Today our team successfully conducted a school eye screening exercise in Namisindwa district Eastern Uganda, reaching hundreds of pupils and giving them a clear path to learning and success.
Many children struggle in school simply because they cannot see well _ yet most eye conditions are easily treatable when detected early.
Through this initiative, we were able to:
* Screen pupils for common eye conditions.
* Identify children in need of urgent eye care.
* Educate pupils and teachers on proper eye health practices.
* Provide referrals for treatment and follow-up support.
At Charity vision uganda,we believe that every child deserves the gift of sight. By investing in early detection and awareness, we are building a brighter, healthier future for our community.
We sincerely thank our partners, schools and medical team for making this life-changing outreach possible.

Charity vision uganda has donated 100 cataract consumables and essential medications to Herona Community Hospital to support life changing eye surgeries in kisoga region.
These essential consumables will enable local surgeons to restore sight and improve quality of life for individuals affected by avoidable blindness.

Why this matters: In rural healthcare, portability is the key to accessibility. This advanced technology allows the medical team to: ✅ Perform delicate eye surgeries with world-class precision. Transport life-changing care to remote villages. ✅ Restore sight to hundreds of patients who cannot travel to major cities.
