At Topowa Youth Mentoring Uganda, we believe that empowering young leaders is the key to sustainable transformation.

Through our flagship LEAD program, we recently hosted a comprehensive induction training for the student council at Lubiri High School, Buloba Campus.

Our sessions focused on critical 21st-century competencies:
Personal Branding: Defining their unique leadership identity.
Teamwork: Building cohesive and collaborative student environments
Effective Communication: Expressing ideas with clarity and impact.
Legacy Building: Leading with the future in mind.

Thank you to the administration and students for their incredible energy and commitment to growth.

This International Youth Day, we celebrate young people who choose to stand strong, speak up and make better choices.

Highlights from our TRAPPED Session at Naalya SS Namugongo, where we engaged teens on the realities of peer pressure and substance abuse and, most importantly, how to recognize the pressure, resist it and take charge of their choices.

Because every young person deserves the confidence to say “NO” when the crowd says “YES.”

This Youth Day, let’s build a future where young people are not trapped by pressure, but driven by purpose.

A small decision can have a big consequence.

TRAPPED helps students see how seemingly harmless choices around drugs and substances can develop into patterns that affect their lives. Our goal is to spark awareness before consequences become reality.

Teenagers need more than warnings, they need understanding. Through TRAPPED at Naalya SS Namugongo, we created a safe and relatable space where young people can explore the realities of substance abuse, question harmful influences and learn healthier ways to respond to pressure.

While at Naalya SS Namugongo Campus for our Trapped Sesion, We reminded students that Knowledge can interrupt a dangerous choice.

Through our TRAPPED program, we engage teenagers in honest Peer to Peer conversations about substance abuse, helping them understand the risks, recognise peer pressure and make informed decisions before experimentation becomes a habit.

Prevention starts before the first choice. TRAPPED uses live theatre, relatable stories and guided conversations to help teenagers understand how substance use can affect their health, relationships, education and future.

Leadership begins long before graduation, it starts with the choices young people make today.

We had an inspiring time at Seeta High School A' Level Campus delivering our LEAD Programme, equipping student leaders with practical skills in leadership, personal branding, communication, teamwork, conflict management, and leading with purpose.

At Topowa Youth Mentoring Uganda, we're passionate about investing in young people because we believe that empowered student leaders create stronger schools, healthier communities, and a brighter future. Every lesson, discussion, and activity was designed to help these young leaders serve with integrity, inspire through their actions, and lead with confidence.

The future is in good hands when we intentionally develop today's leaders.
