International Day of Peace | 21 September 🌍

For Us, peace is not just a word. It is something we have experienced the absence of, and something we have learned to value deeply. Having experienced displacement and the challenges that come with conflict, we understand how deeply peace affects a child’s education, a family’s livelihood, and a young person’s hopes for the future.

This is one of the reasons YOBAC Organization Limited was born. What started as a dream among young people affected by displacement has grown into an organization working with refugee and host communities in Uganda and internally displaced communities in Eastern DRC.

Through quality education, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, vocational skills, climate-smart agriculture, livelihoods, and community development, we are working to turn the challenges facing our communities into opportunities.

At YOBAC, we believe peace is more than the absence of conflict. It is about hope, dignity, inclusion, opportunity, and the ability to build a better future.

Today, we reaffirm our commitment to building peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable communities.

Despite the growing challenges caused by funding cuts, YOBAC continues to provide access to quality education for displaced children. Our commitment remains strong, and we are determined to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a better future. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported our work and made it possible for us to reach this far.
However, the need is still great. Many vulnerable children in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo are still in urgent need of education and support. YOBAC continues to rely on the generosity of partners, donors, and well-wishers to sustain and expand our impact.
You can support YOBAC by sponsoring a child at our school, helping to provide access to education, meals, and essential learning materials.
Together, we can continue transforming lives and creating hope for displaced children across the region.

Academic Year 2026 Has Officially Begun at YOBAC Nursery & Primary School! 🎉
Yesterday, 11 February 2026, we successfully opened the new academic year at YOBAC Nursery and Primary School. The student turnout was excellent, and we are deeply grateful to our dedicated teachers and management team for their commitment and preparedness. Your hard work makes quality education possible for our learners 👏🏽📚
We are also excited to welcome a new volunteer to our school community. At YOBAC, we value volunteerism and encourage individuals who wish to gain meaningful experience while making a real impact to join us.

Uganda (YOBAC Nursery & Primary School): $50 per child per quarter, covering school fees, meals, and basic medical care.
Eastern DR Congo: $300 per child per year for Kindergarten, Primary, or Secondary education.

We are delighted to announce that YOBAC Nursery and Primary School has successfully completed the academic year! Our heartfelt gratitude goes to all our supporters, including Werner Erkes Foundation, Mr. Rob, Mahaba Foundation, and Adrielle, whose generosity made this year fruitful and impactful.

On the 27th, we joyfully held a graduation ceremony for our Top Class learners, who will be joining Primary One in the next academic year. It was a beautiful and memorable day filled with excitement, smiles, and pride from our children, parents, guardians, teachers, and the entire YOBAC team.

This milestone reminds us of the power of education and the importance of community support in shaping the future of young refugees. Thank you for standing with us and we look forward to another year of growth and transformation! 🌟📚💛
