Love and Care for Vulnerable Ministries Uganda is an alert organization that seeks to love and care for the Vulnerable in various spheres of life so as to bring back life of hope to them as we pursue the second commandment of Jesus Christ. (Mark 12:31)
LOCVM was incepted by a God fearing ladies and gentle men from humble family background who also once shared the similar challenges which affect t
he vulnerable people. LOCVM was born to love and care for the Orphans, Widows, Elderly, PWDs, Refugees and absolutely poor communities of Uganda. The organization hopes to give comfort, love, and care plus also offering basic needs to vulnerable so as to live a meaningful life and have a sense of belonging to people who love, care and comfort them. LOCVM is a registered community based organization (CBO) and its office is located 18km from Kampala Uganda’s capital a long Jinja highway in Kasenge L.C.I, Kasenge Parish- Nama Sub-county, and Mukono District – Uganda – East Africa. LOCVM strives to love, comfort, and care and improve the life of vulnerable of Rural Communities of Uganda by influencing their socio-Economic and spiritual behavior of rural communities using a community based participation and Human right approach. VALUES –
The organization is shaped by Christian Values as witnessed in the gospel commission of Mark 12:31. OBJECTIVES. –
- Advocate for recognition, love, care, protection of comfort the vulnerable through provision of quality health care and basic needs as a fundamental human right.
- Reduce further transmission of HIV and AIDs to enhance physiological and social adjustment of those who are infected and affected.
- Established, support and improve the existing income generating activities for poverty reduction in absolutely poor communities, improve nutrition and ensure food security in the homes of OVC.
- Build and enhance the capacity of the targeted community to be able to identify and priotize, problem and make appropriate solutions in a participatory manner.
- Reduce the maternal and infant mortality and morbidity rates among the rural population.
- Facilitate the increase of community support programs aimed at uplifting the living standards through nutrition, environmental sanitation and access safe water sources.
- Support functional adult literacy (FAL) as an approach for sustainable development.
- Promotes strategies geared towards environmental protection including wetlands.
