As part of our Smile success stories series, today we bring you Doreen would would like to share her own story with you😊.

"Growing up with little means and a family of 5 siblings, an ailing father and an unemployed mother, my future seemed uncertain.

But thanks to Smile project, I was able to pursue my passion for computer science and specialize in graphic design and editing. Despite the loss of my father, I graduated in 2021 and was selected to intern at New Vision, a leading media house in Uganda.

Recognized as the top intern, I was offered a permanent position in 2022. Today, I produce commercial adverts, Dramas, Shows as well as Movies. I am able to provide for my family and myself today. Smile project gave me direction and purpose, and I encourage students to be self-driven and to find their own paths to success as it is innate in each individual."
