An Army is rising!

December marked The Message Uganda’s one-year anniversary, celebrated not with fanfare but on the frontlines of mission. Shoulder to shoulder with staff, partners, local volunteers, and friends from the UK, South Africa, and Ethiopia, we carried the hope of the Gospel into prisons, slums, street-connected young people, and local communities through a back-to-back seven-day outreach.

Serving alongside locals and the church through Love Where You Live, we cleaned communities and proclaimed Christ — engaging young people through football, outreach to street-connected young people, the children’s Christmas outreach,honest conversations on suffering, redemption, and the Fatherhood of God with young men, and Bloom, where girls were reminded of their God-given identity and worth. Across multiple communities, we witnessed the Gospel break through some of the darkest places, with over 300 making decisions to follow Christ.

None of this would have been possible without our mission partners: St. Nicholas COU Kalerwe, Christian Restoration Ministries, Divine Care Ministries, Gospel Arise in Slums Ministry, Sabula Nation, Tru-Tangazo, our faithful volunteers who have served tirelessly throughout the year and ofcourse the International Team under the leadership of Cyril Wilding . These seven days marked the culmination of a year of God’s faithfulness, and we give all glory and praise to Him, who continues to open our eyes to the needs of the youths in these communities and assures us of His abiding presence as He accomplishes His purposes in and through us.

What happened in Bombo was more than an event — it was a move of God.
The launch of Message Uganda through Festival Bombo brought powerful community transformation and laid the foundation for generational impact. Lives were changed, hope was restored, and Jesus was glorified. 🙌🏽🇺🇬

🔥 New Ground in Uganda! 🔥

Last Friday, we launched our first-ever Genetik session with 44 young people — more than we expected and full of energy!

We explored God’s all-knowing, ever-present nature through Jonah’s story and Psalm 139. The session was packed with interactive teaching, dance, games, and small group connection — all pointing to a God who sees, knows, and loves every child.

Big shoutout to our volunteers from church and Message who brought it to life, and to Sabula Nation for leading the dance warm-up!

We’re believing for a generation rising in truth, creativity, and purpose.

The Message Uganda had the incredible privilege of joining forces with several other ministries for a powerful 5-day Easter outreach organised by Jesus Legacy Missions at Ndejje Senior Secondary School.

Over 2,000 students encountered the life-changing message of Jesus, with more than 700 making decisions to follow Him. We witnessed students reconciling with each other, releasing deep-seated pain, and embracing the freedom found in Christ’s forgiveness.

This mission was a testament to the transformative power of the Gospel. We’re immensely grateful to Ndejje SS and Jesus Legacy Missions for their heart for the youth and the Gospel.

🌍 Celebrating Unity at the Africa Leaders’ Summit in Cape Town 🇿🇦

Last week, we had the privilege of hosting our inaugural Africa Leaders’ Summit in the vibrant city of Cape Town, South Africa. Leaders from across the continent—including Uganda, Togo, Gabon, and beyond—joined us in a powerful gathering that underscored our shared commitment to The Message and the development of hubs throughout Africa.

Your invaluable contributions were instrumental in shaping our pan-African vision and strategy. Together, we’ve taken significant steps toward a unified future, and we’re excited about the continued collaboration and positive impact we will achieve collectively. We had such great prayer times together, amazing TED Talk sessions, African fundraising strategies, and so much more.

To our new Pan-African team: Let’s keep the momentum going as we work together to make a lasting difference across the continent.

Our Creative Mission teams are on the ground in Bombo, Uganda, bringing the life-changing message of Jesus to young people through creative arts, school programs, and gospel proclamation events! 🎤🎭✨

We believe every young person deserves to hear the gospel in a way they understand and be connected to a church community where they can grow in faith. That’s why we equip and empower evangelists through the Message School of Evangelism and Advance Training—raising up young leaders to boldly share the gospel in schools, on stages, and in the streets. 🙌🔥

🌍 Community Transformation in Bombo!
Through Eden teams and social action projects, we’re committed to making a lasting impact in tough neighborhoods. Our Community Hubs provide young people with discipleship, life skills, and educational support—all in partnership with local churches. Our mission is simple: show young people they are loved and valued by Jesus! ❤️

⛓️ Breaking the Cycle of Crime
Our Prisons & Enterprise team walks with young offenders from prison to reintegration, offering long-term care and employment opportunities—helping them find hope and a fresh start through Christ. 🙏

At Message Uganda, we intentionally go into tough neighborhoods, schools, and prisons to reach young people with the life-transforming message of Jesus Christ.

Through our programmes, we create opportunities for young people to flourish in faith and life. But we don’t stop there—we equip and mobilize them to be on mission, becoming transformational leaders who spark a ripple effect of positive change in their communities.

From the streets to a life of purpose—Richie Zion’s story is one of radical transformation! Once a street kid himself, he now dedicates his life to bringing hope to vulnerable children in Kampala.
