One Skill, Many Opportunities: Paul’s Journey as a Sawa World Solution Entrepreneur

As a Sawa World Solution Entrepreneur, Paul has travelled across Uganda training his skill of indigenous poultry farming, mentoring, and walking alongside people as they build better livelihoods using this skill.

Meet Elvis, a student by day and an entrepreneur in the making. 💼✨

While still in high school, Elvis made a powerful decision not to wait for life after graduation, but to start building his future now.

Through hands-on training with Sawa World, Elvis learned a practical business skill in jewelry making and turned it into a micro-business he runs alongside his studies. He is one of 1,107 students empowered through the Short Local Business Skills Training Project, a transformative partnership between Sawa World and School for Life Foundation

This is exactly what Uganda’s new competency-based schools' curriculum is all about: equipping students with real-world skills beyond the classroom. Elvis is living proof that when students gain practical skills early, they don’t just prepare for jobs, they create opportunities.
