"Before I attended these counseling sessions, I felt hopeless and helpless — but these sessions have given me hope and strength again to live." — Keji, 34, South Sudan
Keji is a single mother of 4, living in Boroli Refugee Settlement, Adjumani. Abandoned by her husband, cut off from aid, she had reached her darkest moment — she had planned to take her own life and her children's lives.
Today, after just 3 sessions of our Psychosocial Program, she has renewed hope.
Over the next 12 weeks, Keji and her group will gain emotional resilience, business skills, and seed capital to build a future — not just survive.
This is why we show up. Every. Single. Day. đź’›

From Trauma to Triumph: Faridah’s Story of Resilience Faridah’s journey is a powerful testament to what happens when big dreams meet the right support.
Support our mission to build economic independence: đź”— https://www.vfhuganda.org/tiss
After years of facing immense challenges, she has transformed her life and is now a thriving entrepreneur serving her community.
Through the Trauma Informed Self-Reliance System (TISS), Faridah gained the emotional and economic tools to rewrite her future by completing 8 weeks of psychosocial support and 4 weeks of livelihood training.
She launched her dream bakery in the Boroli settlement with a seed capital of $50, and today her daily income has doubled.
Faridah now averages $4.72 in daily profit, allowing her to meet her household needs without stress. She is no longer focused on the negative thoughts of her past and instead has set her sights on supplying bread to the entire Adjumani district.

At Voice for Humanity Uganda, we are proud to support women in reclaiming their dreams and building lasting resilience.

10 Lives Transformed—Help Us Reach 10 More! 🌟

We just wrapped up our first pilot of the Trauma Informed Self-Reliance System (TISS) with 10 incredible women. After 12 weeks, the results are in: healing is happening, and self-reliance is growing.

Now, we need your help to keep the momentum going.

From March 17th–20th, we are participating in GlobalGiving’s Little by Little campaign. This means:

Your impact is boosted: Every donation receives a 50% match!

Our Goal: $5,000 to enroll our next cohort of 10 women.

The Timeline: Only 4 days to make it happen.

Every bit counts toward changing a life. Please donate and share with your network!
