Save the youth initiatives- Uganda is a non-profit community based organisation with offices in kisonko Trading Center Bundibugyo district, Uganda formed in 2014 Save the youth initiatives - Uganda is a non-profit organisation, formed in 2014 by two gentlemen and lady aiming to working relentlessly for an equitable environment for the youth. We defend policies and programmes that lift the youth o
ut of poverty, protect them from abuse and neglect, and ensure their access to healthcare, food, safe water, quality education and moral and spiritual foundation. We grew up in poor families in the village in Bundibugyo district, Uganda where 65 percent of, children and women are most socially, economically, politically and culturally marginalized. We were lucky enough to have been able to attend and finish University, so we needed to give back to the community. That is why in 2014 formed save the youth Initiatives– Uganda (SYIU)
We believe that there are many areas of our society that needs to be changed for the better. This change however must begin from the individual him/herself. We are passionate in our belief that educated, employed, and engaged young people possess the power to solve the world’s toughest problems. Every young person therefore deserves the opportunity to realize his or her full potential. Our programs are catalysts for change that help children learn, work and lead
We are a national organisation with the capacity to work for the youth at the state and community levels across the country. We have our head office in Bundibugyo, Uganda. Through this office, we expect to expand our work to the Northern, South West, Eastern, Central and entire Western Uganda. We also expect to have a home for the spiritual renewal, character and leadership development, intergenerational mentoring, and in*******al and interfaith dialog about youth issues. SYIU provides a strong effective and independent voice for all youth of Uganda who cannot vote, lobby or speak for themselves. We pay particular attentions to the needs of the youth and encourage preventives investments before they get sick, drop out of school, get into trouble or suffer family breakdown.
