We believe that no child should grow up without a book in their hands.

We believe that every village deserves a place where learning feels alive.

We believe that when communities are equipped, they don’t wait for change they create it.

This is PeerLink Initiative Uganda.

One child learned to read letter by letter, slowly finding confidence where there was once hesitation.

Now, that same child doesn’t just read for themselves. They sit with three other children, helping them sound out words, understand sentences, and believe they can do it too.

And just like that what started as one small breakthrough is now a shared journey of learning.

That’s how impact grows.

Not all heroes are seen.

Some are found in quiet sacrifices, in long days, in choosing their children again and again.

Today, we honor the women shaping tomorrow one child, one lesson, one moment at a time.

In many rural communities, a library is not just a building it is a lifeline.

It is where a child discovers their first story.
Where a youth learns a skill.

Through community libraries, we are not just promoting reading we are rebuilding futures, one page at a time.

Over 24,000+ lives have already been reached through this mission.

Through our community library program, we have reached over 24,000 lives promoting reading and rebuilding futures that seemed lost.

And we are just getting started.

Uganda sees more children enrolling in school each year, yet in many rural communities, learning to read is still not a given.

Books are scarce, support is limited, and for many children, letters remain just marks on a page out of reach, confusing, and discouraging.

Every day, a child sits quietly, hoping for the chance to learn to read fluently and to find the confidence to speak among others. But too often, that hope is met with uncertainty.

Our community libraries are changing that story. Day by day, letter by letter, children begin to try reading slowly and carefully, turning hesitation into courage and confusion into understanding.

Today, we see those same once-shy children sitting with three others guiding them through words, sounding out letters together, and sharing the patience they were once given.

This is how impact grows one reader at a time.

Join us in creating more spaces where children can learn, grow, and lead. Support a community library today.

"I didn’t know I could help my child learn.”

That’s what one parent shared during our sessions.

Now, she reads with her child every evening.

Sometimes, empowerment doesn’t start with the child — it starts with the parent.

Last week, Katobotobo Primary School hosted a hands-on digital literacy session led by PeerLink Initiative, introducing learners to the world of technology for the very first time.

Students were guided through basic computer skills from identifying key parts of a computer to simple navigation and interaction. What began as curiosity quickly turned into excitement as they actively engaged and practiced.

For many learners, it was their first direct experience with a computer, opening their eyes to how digital skills can support learning and future opportunities.

Most children in rural Uganda grow up without ever touching a computer not because they aren't interested learn but because no one has brought the tools to them.

This week, we changed that for 74 learners and 9 teachers at Kisizi Primary School, Nyarushanje Subcounty, Rukungiri District. Through our school-based digital literacy programme, they received hands-on training in Microsoft Office — the basic foundational computer skills that open doors to better education, employment, and opportunity.

The digital divide between rural and urban communities is real, but it is not permanent. Equipping teachers alongside learners with these skills is the first step to multiplying digital access in rural communities.

This is how we prepare rural Uganda for a modern, connected world.

How we invest in children's education today determines what the future world will look like.

Creating a future that works for generations starts by giving the young children opportunities to read and write.

Through our read and dance sessions, we bring learning closer to children in vulnerable communities.

These encourage children to have a culture of learning that goes beyond classrooms.

This is how we are building a future that works for generations, What part are you playing?
