SLUM WOMEN

SLUM WOMEN Kampala slum women are group who have a focus to get knowledge and hence contribute towards the development of their families, communities and country.

Kampala slum women development project was found in 2010 and now covers four slums of Kampala ( Kivulu, Bwaise, Bukoto and Mulago). All together the project supports 126 women from the four slums. Activities done with the women all aim at empowering them to become better wives, mothers, community leaders, elders and friends of the community and country. Knowledge and skills given are to enable the

women have a better life and as well better those of their children and families and as well be an eye opener for their lives and for them to realize their full potential to participate in the development of the nation. Activities Done
Skills development in candle making, soap making, book binding, beads, basket and craft weaving, soap making among others. Literacy training

Social life and life skills sensitization
