A MESSAGE FROM KIMERA PADDY – ROOTS OF HOPE FOUNDATION UGANDA.
Please take a moment to read this from the heart. 🙏
I come from a village so untouched, so forgotten, that time itself seemed to pass it by.
A place where children wake up before sunrise — not to the sound of alarms, but to the hunger in their bellies — and head to the fields with nothing but a hoe and hope.
No breakfast. No shoes. No clean water. No books. No school bells.
Only hard earth, heavy skies, and the will to survive 🛐.
It was once a peaceful green haven, but without education, our people unknowingly cut down our trees, burned our bushes, and the rain stopped coming🏜.
Now, the land is dry… the wells are silent… and the children’s eyes carry more weight than their tiny shoulders should bear👪.
Like many, I ran to the streets of cities— not to escape, but to seek a way out that I could one day return through.
By God’s grace after so many years on streets struggling, I found helping hands: kind-hearted people from the U.S. through Engage Hope Ministries, Embrace It Africa, Literacy of Love and great friends like Mom Jana and my biggest Buddy Rich.
They gave me what my home never could — a chance to read, to write, and to believe in something bigger than pain🚸.
But with knowledge came responsibility.
So I began collecting what little I could — gently used shoes, shirts, pencils, hope — and sent it back to the place I once fled🧳🛄.
Briefly, i had an idea to change things, we built the first mud-walled classroom with bare hands and borrowed dreams.
It’s not much — but for children who had never seen a chalkboard, it’s everything📋.
Our dream is to turn it into a small village school. A place where hope is taught as much as the alphabet.
To do this, we need just \$3,000 USD (ok this is a dream🙌)— the price of a secondhand car, but for us, it’s the start of a new future💭.
But it doesn’t stop there...
Children are still hungry.
Some sleep in muddy leaking houses, others walk barefoot through thorns and stones at our hilly place..
They have never tasted clean water. They’ve never owned a bed🛌.
They need more than books. They need love — and someone willing to cross oceans for them🌗.
We’re not a big organization. We are grassroots.
We don’t have fancy websites or large offices.
But we do have the truth, and a deep cry for help🫶.
We are praying for a Coordinator— someone who can help us open and manage a GoFundMe, receive donations transparently, help plan visits, and build trust for others who want to be part of this mission🛐.
We need someone who believes that love can build a school. That compassion can feed a village. That YOU can be the reason someone in Uganda smiles tomorrow.

Even the smallest ripple can become a wave.
And maybe, just maybe, this is the start of something eternal.
Thank you for reading this.
From the bottom of my heart — May God richly bless you🙏.
