From Hope… to Becoming

This is Hannington Ssengabi.

In 2019.. no shoes, no school, no proper clothing…
but still, there was something in his eyes - hope.

In 2025.. Hannington stands with a smile, wearing clothes, with shoes on his feet, and now learning from our small mud-made school😊.

This is what even the smallest act of love can do. 🤍

We have been blessed with many kind hearts reaching out (God Bless ya'll, Earthly Angels)..
people willing to come, to preach, to restore hope…
others ready to donate shoes, clothes, and school materials👏…
beautiful promises of water, a school, a church…
And we are grateful for every one of them. 🙏

But here is our honest prayer 🎈
We are still waiting for that one person🙏…
Someone who will not just promise, but step in.

Someone who will say, “Let me help make this happen.”
👉A coordinator.
👉A leader.
👉A heart in action.

Because sometimes, change doesn’t start with many people…
it starts with one willing soul.

If you feel something in your heart as you read this…
please don’t ignore it.

👉Come see.
🤍 Come be part of the story.

ONE MINUTE PLEASE
Update👈👇

At Roots of Hope, We continue to stand in faith and gratitude and praying all these Promises Come true🙏...

God has connected us to incredible hearts across nations. We have seen kindness, encouragement, and beautiful promises of support - and we honor every single one. Each message, each intention, each offer to come, give, or serve has meant more than words can express.

We remain thankful for:

Pastor Kimera Lattimore , who had planned in March a mission trip visit - we still pray that door opens, communication is still hard....

Jeni's Joint Restaurant, walking closely with us to donate shoes for our children🙏...

Madam Deb Pearse Mitchell and her church organizing a footwear drive for Roots and the Village...

Brother Tony Pasko , Unfortunately he changed his mind to to Zimbabwe after a promise to visit us - may God bless that mission.

Tyler Blaine Poling with His Team and Brother Terrance Pickett , who spoke of visiting, Communicating with them is hard, praying for them to find it in their hearts...
Madam Daisy Whisenant , who generously gathered and donated items for us...

And To every heart willing to stand with us and has reached out, You're so many we couldn't tag ya'll here, May you find it deep in your Hearts and know we pray and need ya'll...
Each name represents hope😊.

Sometimes the vision is clear, the people are willing, but the pieces have not fully aligned yet... We believe this is not delay- it is preparation🙏.

👉If anyone reading this feels stirred to help bring clarity, coordination, and momentum to what God is already connecting, we welcome you with open arms🙏.
Leadership here is service. Impact here is real. And together, what feels scattered can become powerful.

We remain grateful. We remain expectant. And we believe the right hands and hearts will step forward at the right time. 🫸❤️🫷

Where do you get the water you drink?
Where do you take your children to school?
Where do you sleep? What do you eat? Do you walk barefoot?

For the children of Nakabazi Village, Uganda, these muddy buildings are not just walls--they are hope, school, and home. The wells nearby provide their daily water. Wearing sandals is a privilege, not a given.

A visit can create hope. A $1 donation can change a life. Sharing the Gospel here restores dreams and brings light to hearts.

Don’t throw away what you no longer use--clothes, shoes, books. Consider visiting, donating, or being part of something bigger than yourself.🫸❤️❤️🫷

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”--Matthew 25:40 🙏

A Humble Call from Uganda 💛

Sometimes the most beautiful stories are born from struggle…
Please take a moment to read ours .. Roots of Hope Foundation Uganda.

We began with too little, a few old clothes, and a dream to give forgotten children a reason to smile again. Today, we’re building hope in mud walls, barefoot classrooms, and tiny hearts that still believe in tomorrow.

Find a room in your heart ❤️
Donate what you don’t use — a pair of shoes, a ball, a school bag.
Help us buy cement, food, or a small gift or food this Christmas for a kid or kids🎄🤶.
Visit us, tell your church about us, or be our voice where you are.

Verse of the Day

“A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.” — Proverbs 29:11 💛

Guard your heart, control your tongue, and walk in wisdom — because one moment of unchecked anger, greed, or desire can undo years of effort, peace, and blessing. 🙏

Quote of the Day

"A single moment of anger, greed, or lust can undo decades of your hard work."

Just at the perfect time🫸❤️🫷..

One day,
one hour,
one minute,
one divine moment..
God will answer our prayers. 🙏

A voice will rise,
a kind heart will reach out,
a life full of wisdom and compassion will join the journey. 🙏

We never chose this path ..
life chose it for us.
And even when the road feels long and uncertain,
we walk it with faith, knowing that purpose still blooms in the unseen. 🙏

Because sometimes,
God hides His greatest miracles in the quiet seasons...
only to reveal them when our hearts are finally ready to see. 💖

plans to give you hope and a future."

A World Blessed with Great People 🌍

The world is filled with good people. Every person carries goodness in their own way — most often shown in caring for their families, which is a sacred priority everywhere. That alone makes many good.

But there are also Great People — those who go an extra mile, acting to promote someone else’s welfare, even at personal cost. In a world where the rich wake up to become richer and the poor pray only for a taste of a better life, it is the Great People who make the real difference. They put smiles on the hopeless, and they lay foundations that spark change for forgotten communities. ✨

Today, at Roots of Hope Foundation Uganda, we want to pause and say thank you to some of these Great People who have shown us love:

🙏 Brother Tony Pasko — a musician, preacher, and now a brother to us. He is planning his first mission trip to Uganda, giving his time, energy, and heart to research and find ways to strengthen our small foundation. Please, check out his inspiring music on YouTube and join us in praying for his mission ahead.

🙏 Jeni's Joint & Team— a beautiful family in Boston with hearts so wide. They have been extending a helping hand not only to us, but to many causes. Their willingness to reach out and donate shoes for our village children means more than words can say. If you are anywhere near Ringgold, Virginia, please pass by and support them. They truly deserve the best for all that they do.

🙏 Messing — a mother to us, standing faithfully even when times were hardest, guiding and nurturing us toward better days.

🙏 Lopez Grey Smith, Michele Quash , and others who have reached out with interest in helping — may God bless you richly for your kindness and for making this world more beautiful.

To each of you: we humbly extend an invitation. Come visit us in Uganda. Come preach, come feel, come witness, come donate, or even stand as coordinators if God places it on your hearts. Join hands with Brother Tony on his mission trip, and let us together write a story of hope that outlives us all.

💛 May God bless you, your families, and the works of your hands. You are the light that reminds us that humanity is still beautiful.

🌍 A Place Where Shoes Mean Wealth 🌍

Here in our small corner of rural Uganda Nakabazi- Ruwaama village, shoes are not just footwear .. they are a symbol of wealth, almost like gold in your world.

Why? Because for generations, people here have lived and died without ever owning a single pair.

Not even on Christmas .. the most celebrated day of the year .. would you see shoes on the feet of fathers or mothers. On that day, everyone would bring out their one “special” outfit, carefully kept for years, to look presentable… yet their feet would still be bare, hardened by decades of walking on hot soil and sharp stones.

Today, when you look at our elders, you see the story of their lives written on their feet:
🩵 Cracked heels that have never healed.
🩵 Toenails broken and infected.
🩵 Deep wounds that carry dust, not medicine.

And the children? They are walking the same path .. barefoot to school, barefoot to fetch water, barefoot into adulthood.

This is our cry:
Before you throw away those shoes you no longer wear, could you send them to Roots of Hope Foundation Uganda? Could you visit us and witness this need with your own eyes? Could you donate even \$10 to place a pair of shoes on a child’s feet for the first time in their life?

There is so much we can do together. Even a prayer whispered in love can carry hope here.

Come Visit Us. Come Restore Dignity. Come Be the Difference. 🌿

🫸❤️🫷

We know life is full — full of tasks, meetings, obligations, dreams, struggles, and responsibilities. Maybe you’re rushing to work, planning a trip, or trying to heal from something unseen. Maybe you’re just scrolling, tired, or distracted. I understand.

But if your eyes have reached these words, then maybe — just maybe — this moment was meant to find you.

Here at Roots of Hope Foundation Uganda, there's a village where time feels like it stood still. Where barefoot children run on dry, cracked ground. Where food isn’t a choice — it’s a prayer. Where clean water is a dream whispered under the stars. Where school is a hope, not a right.

In Nakabazi-Ruwama Village, we don’t have a church.
We don’t have a clinic.
We don’t have clean water.
But we still have faith.

We believe in miracles — and sometimes, God sends them in the form of people. Maybe that’s you.

📿 Maybe you can visit.
👣 Maybe you can be our coordinator.
💧 Maybe you can help us dig a borehole.
👕 Or simply send a shirt, a pair of sandals, or a Bible.

Luke 6:38 says: “Give, and it will be given to you... For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Please don’t just scroll by. You could be the one we’ve prayed for.
Even just sharing this message could be the beginning of someone’s answered prayer.

A MESSAGE FROM KIMERA PADDY – ROOTS OF HOPE FOUNDATION UGANDA.

Please take a moment to read this from the heart. 🙏

I come from a village so untouched, so forgotten, that time itself seemed to pass it by.
A place where children wake up before sunrise — not to the sound of alarms, but to the hunger in their bellies — and head to the fields with nothing but a hoe and hope.
No breakfast. No shoes. No clean water. No books. No school bells.
Only hard earth, heavy skies, and the will to survive 🛐.

It was once a peaceful green haven, but without education, our people unknowingly cut down our trees, burned our bushes, and the rain stopped coming🏜.
Now, the land is dry… the wells are silent… and the children’s eyes carry more weight than their tiny shoulders should bear👪.

Like many, I ran to the streets of cities— not to escape, but to seek a way out that I could one day return through.

By God’s grace after so many years on streets struggling, I found helping hands: kind-hearted people from the U.S. through Engage Hope Ministries, Embrace It Africa, Literacy of Love and great friends like Mom Jana and my biggest Buddy Rich.
They gave me what my home never could — a chance to read, to write, and to believe in something bigger than pain🚸.

But with knowledge came responsibility.
So I began collecting what little I could — gently used shoes, shirts, pencils, hope — and sent it back to the place I once fled🧳🛄.

Briefly, i had an idea to change things, we built the first mud-walled classroom with bare hands and borrowed dreams.
It’s not much — but for children who had never seen a chalkboard, it’s everything📋.

Our dream is to turn it into a small village school. A place where hope is taught as much as the alphabet.

To do this, we need just \$3,000 USD (ok this is a dream🙌)— the price of a secondhand car, but for us, it’s the start of a new future💭.

But it doesn’t stop there...
Children are still hungry.
Some sleep in muddy leaking houses, others walk barefoot through thorns and stones at our hilly place..
They have never tasted clean water. They’ve never owned a bed🛌.

They need more than books. They need love — and someone willing to cross oceans for them🌗.

We’re not a big organization. We are grassroots.
We don’t have fancy websites or large offices.
But we do have the truth, and a deep cry for help🫶.

We are praying for a Coordinator— someone who can help us open and manage a GoFundMe, receive donations transparently, help plan visits, and build trust for others who want to be part of this mission🛐.

We need someone who believes that love can build a school. That compassion can feed a village. That YOU can be the reason someone in Uganda smiles tomorrow.

If this message reaches you, please:

👉Share it with your church, friends, or mission teams
👉Ask about us, talk to us, visit us
👉Follow our journey and help carry it forward

Even the smallest ripple can become a wave.
And maybe, just maybe, this is the start of something eternal.

Thank you for reading this.
From the bottom of my heart — May God richly bless you🙏.

This is not just mud and sticks. It’s a cry from the heart of a forgotten village.

What you see here is one of the two small muddy buildings we built—bare hands, raw hope, and desperate love for the children who gather under them each day to dream.

Roots of Hope Foundation Uganda was born from pain turned into purpose.
Kimera Paddy, our founder, grew up with no food, no education, and no place to call home. He lived on the streets—until God used kind hearts from Embrace It Africa, Engage Hope, and Literacy of Love to raise him up. Friends like Richard and Mom Jana believed in him. Now he has returned—not to escape the past—but to heal it.

We are trying. But we can’t do it alone.
Water. Education. The Gospel. Hope. These are not just words here—they’re lifelines.

If you’re reading this, maybe you’re the answer to a prayer whispered last night under a leaking roof.

🌱 Be our voice.
🙏 Call your church to come.
🤝 Be our coordinator.
❤️ Share, follow, visit, pray, stand with us.

The next chapter of this story needs you.
Contact us—because even the smallest act of love can shake the ground in Nakabazi.
