“What’s mine is yours” sounds sweet until you ask, “Does that work both ways?”

Relationships have changed and financial independence doesn’t mean keeping everything separate or splitting every bill 50/50. It means both partners can contribute, make financial decisions and have the ability to stand on their own when life gets unpredictable.

You don’t have to earn more than your partner, but having your own goals, income and financial plan gives you confidence and options.

So, what are you doing today to build your financial independence? Share with us in the comments. 👇

At our last HER Meetup, we had conversations about women’s health and something we often overlook, paying attention to the early signs our bodies give us.

Our guest speaker reminded the ladies that it’s important to listen to your body, ask questions and seek help when something doesn’t feel right.

Sometimes, a simple check in with yourself can make a big difference.

Severe period pain, extremely heavy bleeding, cycles that disrupt your daily life, or pain that keeps you from work shouldn’t always be dismissed as “just part of being a woman.”

Your period is giving you information about your body and it’s okay to ask questions, seek help and get the right support.

Let’s stop normalising pain and start having more open conversations about menstrual health.

Tracking your monthly flow can tell you more about your body than you might realise. Changes in your cycle, flow, pain or other symptoms can sometimes be signs worth paying attention to rather than simply accepting them as “normal.”

Make it a habit to track your cycle each month so you can understand your patterns, notice changes early and know when it may be time to seek support. Your period is part of your health story, so listen to what your body is telling you.
