Time check 2:00PM. An 8_year old boy vending maize on Kampala street, Masaka City in a bid to foot fees bills, which is okay. However what shocked me is how he will walk back to Ssaza (home residence) which is 5 Kilometers away. "I have to sell all the maize off before going back home. Sometimes I go back passed mid night and if I go without finishing the stock my grand mother punishes me", he told me.

This fence was erected on Masaka City Children's Park with alleged intentions of unscrupulous businessman to construct a commercial mansion. This infringes on the recreational rights to children. We there4 urge all stakeholders to protest this move with all energies it deserves.

9th December is gazetted on the UN calender as the Human Rights Defenders Day. The National Coalition of Human Rights Defenders Uganda commemorated the day in mbarara city and amongst the activities carried out were blood donation, tree planting and a health walk.
