We held a reusable menstrual hygiene workshop in Kimwanyi slum with young girls, teen moms, and single parents, creating a safe space for learning, sharing, and empowerment.

After learning how to make reusable pads from scratch, the participants were able to turn them into professionally finished, well-made pads ready for use. Beyond the skills gained, it was about restoring dignity, building confidence, and providing sustainable solutions.

We are deeply grateful to our partners and supporters .hq, .festival, , and without their support, this workshop wouldn’t have been possible. We love and appreciate you all 🫶🏾

We are grateful for these community collaborations because they are filled with practical skills, shared knowledge, and lasting impact.

Our end-of-year community Outreach in the Bukasa Zone, Bwaise shared last Saturday was beautifully spent

It was a day full of good energy, meaningful conversations, laughter, and connection. We spent time talking about health, hygiene, and some of the everyday challenges faced within the community, and in between those conversations, we also made space to move, groove, and enjoy being together.

The dance session was filled with joy, curiosity, and good vibes. Trying new dance moves, laughing at ourselves, and letting the body move was so fulfilling.

We were able to give out food packs, clothing, hygiene kits, Pampers for new mothers, and other essential support.

We’re deeply grateful for this collaboration with Amkeni Empower Her .hq and Ghetto Pamoja Initiative, and for everyone who showed up, supported, donated, volunteered, and believed in this work. Thank you to our partners, friends, and families who helped make this outreach possible.

It was a reminder that community, care, and connection truly matter. So grateful for how the day turned out 💛

We’re so grateful for the chance to teach, share, and connect with different communities. Throwback to earlier this month at Nasirumbi Junior School in Wanteete, Kayunga District, where we held a mental health session alongside a dance workshop focused on grooving and foundational hip-hop and Afro styles.

We collaborated with (MHAMIA) to host a mental health and wellness session for both kids and adults and to give away clothes to members of the community.

Huge thanks to the team we worked with and to our amazing supporters , communities, and well-wishers. Much love to the leaders of Wanteete Community for your warmth, contributions, and support. This is what true community looks like!

Yesterday was well spent in Katanga Slum, giving back to the community as part of our community outreach.
Together with the Ghetto Pamoja initiative, we spent the day in Katanga distributing clothes, shoes, beddings, and a sound system to the community. It’s always a joy seeing smiles, stories, and that sense of connection that keeps us going.

Big love to everyone who keeps supporting what we do,those who donate, share our work, or simply cheer us on from wherever they are. You’re part of this too. A huge thank you to you.

Thank you Collective Glow Team x Ghetto Pamoja and to the Katanga community for welcoming us so warmly. ❤️

We’re always collecting clothes, shoes, and beddings, especially for single moms, new moms, and babies. If you’d like to contribute, volunteer, or donate, we’d love to have you join the glow. We welcome every donation.

A beautiful day filled with learning, laughter, and connection!
We had the pleasure of co-hosting a community engagement event with Art of a Child , bringing together young people from our programs and Grade 11 students from the International School of Uganda ( ) for a day of exchange and experiential learning at Ebb’s Kids Play Home, the home of Art of a Child.

During the event, we explored how our organizations contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on areas such as quality education, gender equality, and reducing inequalities.

Students and youth from our programs exchanged ideas, shared stories, played games, and co-created projects aimed at making a difference in underserved communities.

We are grateful to the team members from Art of a Child, , Ghetto Pamoja, and the teachers from the International School of Uganda for their efforts in making this day a success.

These moments remind us that real change begins with curiosity, empathy, and collaboration, and that every young person has the power to be a changemaker.

Last Saturday in Katanga, we hosted a community outreach focused on cooking skills and mental health.
The cooking class that was led by Nakibugwe Josephine gathered over 85 young women, girls, and men for a cooking class, many of them small business owners and stay-at-home mothers, where they learned new techniques and ended the day by sharing a meal together.

We were honored to have Lydia Kinobe, a dedicated health worker from Mengo Hospital with 17+ years of experience in child and adolescent psychosocial support, lead a mental health session. She created a safe space for single parents and young teen mothers to share, reflect, and learn about emotional regulation, decision-making, and healthy communication.

This workshop was organized by Collective Glow in collaboration with Katanga Ghetto Development Link, a nonprofit committed to driving positive change in slum communities through capacity building and economic opportunities. We are grateful for this new partnership and the chance to grow impact together.

🚨CLOTHING GIVEAWAY EVENT | SATURDAY, AUG 2ND | 1 PM
We, & , are organizing a community clothing giveaway. We’ll be holding a clothing giveaway at Sun City Ghetto Hub, located under the Nakivubo Channel, near the Fire Brigade Headquarters, downtown Kampala.

This area is home to many street-connected boys and teenagers who live in and around the drainage trenches. Most face incredibly difficult circumstances, including poverty, abandonment, family breakdown, substance abuse, exploitation, mental health struggles, disease exposure, and coerced begging. During one of our visits, the youth openly expressed that clothing and food are among their most pressing needs. This inspired us to act.

Here’s how you can get involved:
Donate new or gently used clothes, shoes, and beddings in good condition, for all ages, with a focus on boys and teenagers in this community.

📦 Drop-off / Pick-up Options:
📲 Call or WhatsApp message these phone numbers 0779 459941 / 0756 835791 - we can arrange to collect your donation or coordinate a meeting point.

Want to join the distribution?
We welcome you to come along and personally hand over donations, help make a meaningful impact, build connections, and be part of something real.

Together, let’s make a difference.
Let’s offer comfort, care, and dignity to young boys going through incredibly tough circumstances and remind them they’re seen, valued, and not alone.
