Heart to Heart Initiative

We are a social support organisation that fights child abuse and domestic violence in Uganda.

A Non profit organization providing safe spaces free from all forms of abuse, violence and addiction in Ugandan Communities (Children, young people and Families). We offer emotional wellness services which include therapy, counselling sessions, trainings, child protection, youth survival services, family survival and Christian family ethics...

We also believe in equipping children, youths and par

ents with skills to enable them overcome family challenges like poverty and scarcity of resources. These skills include briquette making, making of reusable sanitary towels, electrical installation and, sewing and tailoring. Our unique child protection and family preservation services are customized to meet all people’s needs within the family setting. However we integrate environmental preservation within all our programs because we believe that healthy families have to live in healthy environments.

Since 2017, we have been sharing Christmas with those in need within urban poor communities especially in Nabweru Division. This is our 8th year of implementing this vital psychosocial program.

Our efforts have helped numerous children enjoy the festive season with their families, preventing separations and fostering unity. We have seen firsthand how our support has kept thousands of families together, preventing marital separations that often arises from financial struggles to provide basic Christmas necessities.

Join us on December 16th as we continue to provide refreshing hair treatments, new clothes, shoes, and nourishing food to children, women, young adults, and the elderly. Your support will help make this happen, donate with us and be part of this heartwarming initiative!

Happy Independence Day Uganda 🇺🇬

Just before in boarded to Nigeria, we had a great counseling session with the students of Matugga Hills Secondary School.

It was such a deep session that provided answers, coping strategies, resilience skills and healing to the students and teachers in attendance.

At Heart to Heart Initiative, we are focused on that as our contribution to building our great nation, Uganda.

It has been 5 years serving Betpawa Uganda as their official counseling providers. Heart to Heart Initiative, we provide guidance, counseling, and therapy to the clients who struggling with problem gambling and addiction.
Recently, we had an opportunity to train their customer support team on client care, Prof. Dr. Sarah Kwagala Kasozi led our team in delivering an engaging and interactive session that included both general and group discussions in person and online.
We are committed to supporting people who are struggling with all forms of addiction promoting responsible living in Ugandan families and communities and therefore thank betpawa Uganda for having given us the opportunity to serve their clients and team.

Yesterday we were able to deliver a training to the team of First Love Global Ministries in .

As the lead facilitator, Prof. Dr. Sarah Kwagala Kasozi shared expertise on Child Protection and Safeguarding, Basic Counselling Skills, and Emotional Intelligence.

We appreciate First Love Global Ministries for their dedication to serving children, young people, and families. It's inspiring to see like minded organizations rmaking a positive impact in the community.

Heart to Heart Initiative continues to provide such trainings, and other therapeutic services through The Heart to Heart Safe Spaces Program.

We celebrate our partnership with Love Global Ministries and appreciate all its team members most especially Jane Hunt and Alaric Hunt for being a blessing in serving children, young people and families in Uganda.

A Joyful Milestone! 🙌

We're overflowing with gratitude as we celebrate a remarkable milestone! One week ago, Davis and Valeria Mugisha exchanged vows and became one in marriage. 🙏 This precious moment marks a significant achievement for our church family at Christ In Us Church and Heart to Heart Initiative especially as we celebrate our 3-year anniversary since planting our church! 🎉

Today was an incredible day!
Our own Rachel Nakakande and Prof. Dr. Sarah Kwagala Kasozi had the privilege of representing Heart to Heart Initiative at the Mama Tendo Parenting Symposium at Kololo Airstrip, graced by the presence of the First Lady of Uganda, Mama Janet Museveni.

The event brought together key stakeholders in parenting, including parents, government officials, civil society organizations, and companies. We were inspired by the presentations, including those from children, and the launch of three books by Mama Tendo.

Organized by Mama Tendo Foundation, this symposium is also a testament to the evolving face of parenting in Uganda. We are seeing hope for our children, families, and nation - transformed parents raising wholesome children.

It is a blessing to be among like-minded individuals and organizations working towards positive parenting in Uganda. It's a privilege to collaborate with others who share our goal of supporting families and children.
