We welcome this blessed month with gratitude, intention and hope.

May Allah make it a Ramadan of forgiveness, closeness to Him, softened hearts and accepted duas. May every fast purify us. May every prayer elevate us. May every act of giving weigh heavy on our scale of good deeds.

For Gaza, Ramadan continues under the most difficult of circumstances. For us, it is an opportunity — to serve, to stand firm, and to give with sincerity.

The Holy Quran uses a powerful lens to evaluate faith: how one responds to hunger. Allah SWT praises those who, despite their own desire for it, give food to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, doing so solely for His sake. This expands our understanding of charity (Sadaqah and Zakat) beyond monetary giving. Sharing food with any being—even feeding our own families—becomes a recorded charity when done with God-consciousness. This divine principle calls us to action. Let's collaborate to fight hunger in Africa.

In the Quran, Allah SWT draws a profound distinction between people based on a simple, universal act: feeding the hungry. He describes the truly righteous as those who, out of love for Him, offer their cherished food to the destitute, the orphan, and the prisoner, seeking no reward but His pleasure. This teaches us that Sadaqah isn't limited to formal charity; every morsel shared with pure intention is an act of worship. Remarkably, the Prophet (saw) even taught that feeding oneself and family with the right intention is charity. Let's embody this spirit and join hands to combat hunger.
