Uganda Baptist Seminary

Uganda Baptist Seminary Training the servants of God in East Africa through solid Biblical teaching, relevant theological examination and practical ministry skills.

Uganda Baptist Seminary meets the needs of theological education for over 250 students each year who are pastors and church leaders by offering three levels: Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor's programs of study. From its inception, UBS has followed rigorous academic curriculum offered during short residential periods. This is done in the context of authentic Baptist ministry. Certificate and Dipl

oma students come approximately 3 times a year, for 4 week terms. Students receive their Certificate or Diploma after 8 terms of study. This is a total of 32 weeks of study. Bachelor's students come approximately 3 times a year, for 4 week terms. Students receive their Bachelor's degree after 11 terms of study. This is a total of 44 weeks of study for Bachelor's students. To qualify, students must have the recommendation of their church and association; then they must remain active in an accountable ministry throughout their program of study. Nearly all the current students and graduates are serving as leaders of local Baptist churches, as teachers in Bible schools, as national missionaries, as associational leaders and as Baptist Union officers. UBS has recently reached over 1,000 total graduates since, the school's inception in 1988.

As we enter our last week of this term, our Dean of Students preached to us in chapel. We are also wrapping up Hosea. He preached from Hosea 13:1-9.

We were reminded that we don’t go back to our old ways. We were encouraged to not forget God and to remember His faithfulness. We hope this is evident as we finish this term and go home to our families, ministries, and communities.

Because it is an “off week” at UBS, many are not on campus. Those that are here celebrated and made our registrar, Mrs. Rebekah (aka, Nakimuli) feel loved!

Celebrating Dorothy’s birthday. She’s a vital part of UBS and we are so thankful for her.

The principal decided not to give her a birthday shower, but join us in wishing her “Happy Birthday!”
