Answering For The Children Ministries, Inc. Answering For The Children Ministries originally began as a children's home in Jinja, Uganda in 1999 AFTC began in Jinja Uganda in August of 1999.

Situated in the Eastern part of Africa, Answering For The Children was born. AFTC was born as an orphanage but grew into one big family. Our goal at AFTC is to raise the McAulay Uganda family to maintain a close knit home environment, to seek God first and love Him with all their hearts while training and educating them to be productive members of society. Answering For The Children has transitioned from being an orphanage to being a family. 31+ strong and making a difference everywhere we go.

Do you remember your 1st birthday? Most likely not, but Shafique will. Shafique has been with us for 1 year and he had a surprise 7th birthday. He was so shocked and happy. I was blessed to see this little boy, who didnt even know what a birthday was, enjoy his day. Bouncing castles, face painting, spiderman, and surronded by friends, family and neighbors. He will never forget. He was left completely alone after his mother died but God has given him lots of siblings, cousins and a Mom who loves him. When you think of us here in Uganda, remember and pray for Shafique.

Time keeps marching on. Some of the kids are now teens and young adults. Two are in University pursuing their dreams and the rest are not that far behind them. Keep praying for them and ME, I still have a full house ;-)
