Leadership is a beautiful calling, but let’s be honest, it can be incredibly heavy at times. The pressure, the decisions, and the quiet struggles can wear anyone down.

There are many times that I experience the pains of being in leadership. But when I think of the rewards that await those who faithfully do the will of God, I become encouraged every child is worth the fight! Every child deserves love safety and a home.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross... lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.”
(Hebrews 12:2,3)

If you are leading through a tough season today, don’t lose heart. Keep your eyes on Him, He will give you the strength to press on.

Meet Our Founder — Kizito Yowana

Kizito Yowana is a Christian humanitarian and the Founder of His Heart Uganda Children’s Foundation. Born in 1993 in Busanzi Village, Bugiri District, Uganda, Kizito was raised in deep poverty and often studied under trees because there were no proper classrooms available in his community. Despite these challenges, through God’s grace and the support of Compassion International, he was able to pursue his education and later graduated from Africa Renewal University in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development.

In 2017, Kizito began caring for three vulnerable children out of a desire to share the love of Jesus Christ in practical ways. What started as a small act of compassion grew into Let Children Live Foundation, officially registered in 2019 and now known as His Heart Uganda Children’s Foundation.

Today, the foundation supports approximately 200 orphaned and underprivileged children throughout the Busoga region, particularly in Iganga and surrounding communities. Through education support, healthcare, nutrition, spiritual mentorship, and daily care, Kizito and the foundation continue to bring hope, dignity, and the love of Christ to vulnerable children in Uganda.

Kizito’s vision remains rooted in a simple but powerful mission: to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ while transforming lives through compassion, care, and practical support.

We’re excited to share a new chapter in our journey.

After much prayer, reflection, and vision for the future, Let Children Live will now be known as His Heart Uganda. Along with this change, we are also unveiling a new logo that reflects the heart behind our mission more clearly.

While our name and look have changed, our purpose remains the same — to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to orphans and vulnerable children through safe housing, education, discipleship, and compassionate care in a Christ-centered environment.

We believe this new name better represents who we are and the calling God has placed on this ministry: to carry His heart to the children of Uganda.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, prayed for, and walked alongside us over the years. Your encouragement and generosity continue to make a lasting impact in the lives of these precious children.

We’re grateful for all God has done and excited for what lies ahead as His Heart Uganda. ❤️

It hurts us so much to see our children's home and school building fall apart every time it rains.
We have sacrificed everything to build this home for the children, and watching the walls collapse feels like our hearts are breaking too.

We are very tired, and we have many questions. We have prayed for years for the $8,900 needed to finish this work. In this video you can see how much we have tried, yet how much is still missing.

Even in this pain, we know that God is able.

A Heavy Heart for Our Orphanage

Every time a heavy rain falls, a part of our orphanage school and home collapses. Honestly, my heart breaks every time I see it. I feel like I can’t bear the pain of watching something I have sacrificed everything for fall apart right before my eyes.

I am so tired. The struggle to build this home for these children has been long, and seeing it crumble again and again is almost too much to handle.

I have prayed for years for God to provide, but seeing these results makes me wonder if I am on the right path. I have so many questions and very few answers. I find myself asking: "Why not just give up?"

I struggle because I know that with $8,900, this building could finally be completed and safe for the children. That amount feels like an impossible mountain right now, but I still believe that God is capable of doing anything.
I am at my limit.

Please, keep me and this mission in your prayers.
